Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand Duos in India earlier this year. The Galaxy Grand Quattro is the latest mid-range Android smartphone from Samsung that was launched back in May. We reviewed the Galaxy Grand Duos few months back and the Grand Quattro last month. Both these are mid-range smartphone with a similar design, but both these are powered by different chips and have different camera modules. Now let us compare both these phones.

The Xperia Z Ultra is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, although the new Galaxy S4 LTE-A also uses Qualcomm’s latest chipset. Clocked at 2.2GHz, the processor promises fantastic performance as you can see in our Snapdragon 800 benchmarking.

The Galaxy Camera was the first smart camera to be powered by the Android OS but this year, Samsung have taken a different route to introducing smart cameras with the launch of the Galaxy NX with interchangeable lenses and the Galaxy S4 Zoom. As the name implies, the Galaxy S4 Zoom is the camera equivalent of the Galaxy S4 but it does have some great benefits that will appeal to the hardcore camera users. The S4 Zoom is the first smartphone to come with 10X Optical Zoom and also features a 16MP CMOS sensor with Xenon Flash. Yes you read right – the Galaxy S4 Zoom is a smartphone with an excellent camera. The S4 Zoom remains a very unique device as it is able to make and receive phone calls and act just like a smartphone.

Who are the top five smartphone makers in the world? Samsung and Apple would be anyone’s guess. Evidently, because of their dominant presence in the market and ever rising sale figures. The Chinese telecom company is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, by units !

Lenovo K900 Photo Gallery

Lenovo today introduced its flagship smartphone, the Intel CloverTrail+ powered Lenovo K900, in India. Show off earlier at CES, the phone has a mammoth 5.5inch Full HD display that is covered by a Gorilla Glass 2 panel. Under the hood is a 2Ghz dual core Intel Atom Z2580 processor. During our brief time with the phone we felt that this processor was more than capable of keeping everything running smooth. ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 Photo Gallery

The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was launched just a while ago, at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan. The 7 inch tablet’s main USP is the price, which at 129$ for the base version is a steal. Coming in vibrant colours, the MeMO Pad has a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS screen with good viewing angles, unlike the ASUS Fonepad. Powered by a MediaTek quadcore MT8125 chip, the MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean, which is currently the latest version of the popular software. After the event, we were at the presentation area, and we have brought you some photos from there.
