Samsung Galaxy Grand with 5 inch display, Dual SIM and Android 4.1 JellyBean launched at Rs.21500


Samsung has launched the Galaxy Grand in India at a launch event in Delhi. The Galaxy Grand packs a really big 5 inch display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor. If you notice in the above photo , you can find the Duos branding on the top right of the phone which is found on Samsung’s Dual SIM devices. The Galaxy Grand does offer Dual SIM functionality and Samsung is calling it Smart Dual SIM. The Galaxy Grand has been priced at Rs.21500 MRP

  • 1.2 GHZ Dual Core CPU
  • Android 4.1 JellyBean
  • 8MP rear facing camera
  • 2MP front facing camera
  • Software features such as Multi-window , Allshare Play, Popup Video which are on the Galaxy S3 and Note 2

The Galaxy Grand will be one of the most feature rich Dual SIM smartphones in the market. Smart Dual SIM is basically Dual SIM Dual Standby which means that if you get a call on the 2nd SIM when you are on a call on SIM1 , the call will be forwarded to the SIM1.We are checking with Samsung if there will be a Single SIM version of the device too.Samsung has managed to sell over 1 crore Galaxy Devices since launch  according to Samsung’s Asim Warsi.

Samsung India had managed to rope in Badminton champion Saina Nehwal for the launch event.The Phablet or Large screen phone category is heating up in India. Micromax had unveiled their Canvas HD phone yesterday.

Samsung has partnered with Vodafone to offer 2GB of data for free for 2 months. As a limited period offer Samsung will be bundling the Flipcover along with the handset.
