Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet render shows cyan variant ahead of launch at Nokia World

By now it is pretty much assured that Nokia will be showing off a tablet device at the upcoming Nokia World event. Prolific leaker of upcoming devices, Evleaks, has let loose a render of the device that is expected to be called the Nokia Lumia  2520. While the press render shows the tablet in cyan, it is expected to be available in red, black and white variants as well. Micromax is all set to launch the Bolt A58,a  new budget smartphone in the Bolt series. The Bolt A40 and the Bolt A67 went on sale recently. The Bolt A58 has surfaced on the official website. It comes with with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572M processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 2 MP rear camera without flash, but comes with 3G support. It also has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to most of the Micromax smartphones. Karbonn A99, A16 and A12+ with now available, A18+ coming soon

Karbonn has released three new phones in the Indian markets. Karbonn A99, A16 and A12+  is now available online and the A18+ is listed online as coming soon. The A99, A16 and A12+ comes with about 4-inch display, while the A18+ features a 5-inch (480 x 854 pixels)  display. These are powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash with a front-facing camera. HTC One mini officially launched in India for Rs. 36,790

The HTC One mini was announced as the company’s answer to people wanting a compact version of the popular flagship – One, but it arguably did a “mini” on the specifications too, which left people wanting more, especially with that price tag. As if things couldn’t get any worse, the One mini has finally gotten its official launch in India, and it has a MOP price of Rs. 36,790, well above the earlier price some e-tailers had posted. While the price may be a bit on the higher side, the One mini does bring a lot of features that were made popular by the One, including the 4 MP UltraPixel camera, the HTC Zoe camera feature and a really good SLCD2 screen spanning 4.3 inches and sporting a 1280×720 resolution. It is definitely good looking too, borrowing from the design on the One, but with more polycarbonate on the sides and the front.

Xolo has launched the Play Tab 7.0, the company’s latest tablet in the Play series as we reported last month. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) multi-touch IPS display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor with ULP GeForce GPUand runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and packs a 4000 mAh battery. Xolo launched the Xolo Tab last month powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 and voice calling, but this lacks 3G support or voice calling. Aircel introduces cheap Pocket Internet 3G plans starting at Rs. 128 for 1GB per month

Aircel, one of the leading mobile operators in India, has followed Reliance Mobile’s footsteps by launching a new and cheap tariff for 3G data plans. The 3G data pack rates have almost been halved in this case, and now are even more affordable. It used to cost Rs. 250 for 1GB of data in the Chennai circle, but now it is just Rs. 128 and the data pack rates slightly vary for other regions. There is also a new Pocket Internet Rs. 27 data pack that offers unlimited 2G/3G data for 7 days, with a FUP of 750 MB. The new tariff is much needed for rapid uptake in 3G and we think we will see it happen once all the operators introduce this new pack. Airtel has launched myPlan, a new option for post-paid subscribers to customize a plan suitable for them in three easy steps. This lets you pick the rentals, benefits and top ups. You can choose monthly rental priced between Rs. 199 and Rs. 999. Once you choose a monthly rental you can choose myPacks, which are free benefits, finally you can choose boosters at a nominal rate. Nokia Lumia 1020 goes on sale in India for Rs. 47222

Nokia Lumia 1020 is finally on sale in India from the official Nokia Shop, as they promised last month. It was announced back in July and was launched in India last month. It went on pre-order in India for Rs. 49,999 last week. The Lumia 1020 is the first Windows Phone smartphone to feature a 41-megapixel camera sensor. It also has 6 lens optics similar to the Lumia 925 and also comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that was first introduced in the Lumia 920. Apple Might Be Cutting iPhone 5C Production

Reports say that Apple might be reducing the production of it’s iPhone 5C by 50% – from 300,000 units to 150,000 units. The source which leaked of the iPhone 5S and 5C before their announcements, claims that the reason behind this is the fall in the Grey market pricing for the phone.

It has a Stylus Pen for handwriting that can be stored conveniently in a slot. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Nokia 107 and 108 Dual SIM phones go on sale in India for Rs. 1607 and Rs. 1883

Nokia announced the 107, affordable Dual SIM phone for China back in August and the 108 affordable camera phone with dual SIM support last month. The Nokia 107 and the 108 have a 1.8″(160 x 128 pixels) TFT display, run on Series 30 OS and features FM Radio with RDS and music player. The Nokia 108 has a VGA rear camera with video recording capabilities, Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM that enables multimedia content sharing between phones equipped with Bluetooth. The Nokia 107 packs a 1020 mAh battery and the 108 comes with a 950 mAh battery.

Remember the Samsung Galaxy Golden that was released in Korea back in July ? We brought you the hands-on photo gallery of the device recently. Now the Samsung SM-W2014, a new flip phone has surfaced in China. The phone would have dual 3.67 inch (800 x 480 pixels) Super AMOLED displays, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Internal memory and the battery capacitiy are not available yet. Airtel unveils 3G and 4G Dongle offers for the newly launched Google Chromebooks

Diwali season is here and in an effort to capitalize on the rapidly growing lucrative Internet market in India, Google have just announced the entry of two new Chromebooks, the Acer C720 and the HP Chromebook 14. Both these Chromebooks are built for Internet access, and with the Chrome OS being cloud centric, it is obvious that internet access is almost mandatory. It might be a deal breaker for some, so Google has partnered with Airtel to provide some offers for 3G as well as 4G data dongles for data connectivity on the go. The offer is applicable only with purchases of a Chromebook, irrespective of the model.
