Intel introduces 8th Generation U-series Whiskey Lake and Y-series Amber Lake processors, could power upcoming Macbooks

Intel has announced new U-series (formerly code-named Whiskey Lake) and Y-series (formerly code-named Amber Lake) in the 8th Gen Intel Core processor family. The U-Series Processors include i7-8565U, i5-8265U and i3-8145U and include Gigabit Wi-Fi to thin and light mainstream laptops for the first time, offers better performance as well. Meizu M8 Lite with 5.7-inch 18:9 full-screen display, Android 8.1 gets certified

Meizu introduced the 6T smartphone in China recently, now a new smartphone with a model number M816Q has been certified by TENAA in China, which could be launched as the M8 Lite. This reveals a similar 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, but it will be powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Flyme OS on top, feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Moto G7 with water drop screen, dual rear cameras surface in live images

It has just been four months since Motorola announced the Moto G6 series, now live images of the Moto G7 has surfaced. It is being tested as Moto G6 Plus, and the first big change is the water drop notch design, which is a trend these days. The notch houses a camera, and the fingerprint sensor that was present below the screen on the Moto G6 and the G6 Plus is missing, so it is now on the back of the phone with a Motorola logo, similar to the Moto G6 Play.

Nubia Z18 with 5.99-inch FHD+ water drop screen, Snapdragon 845, 8GB RAM, AI dual rear cameras to be announced on September 5

ZTE’s Nubia brand has finally announced that its flagship Nubia Z18 smartphone will be introduced on September 5th in China. It got certified by TENAA back in April. The company has confirmed water drop screen for the smartphone, as rumored earlier, as well AI features for the camera.

LG Q7 with 5.5-inch FuHD+ FullVision Display, water-resistant body, military-level durability launched in India for Rs. 15990

LG has launched Q7, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘Q series’ and the successor of last year’s Q6, in India. It has the same 5.5-inch  FHD+ FullVision Display and packs the same 3,000mAh built-in battery, but this is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6750S  SoC and runs Android 8.0 (Oreo). IT features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Sony posts ‘Seeing is believing’ teaser ahead of Xperia smartphone announcement at IFA on August 30

Sony Mobile is expected to introduce Xperia XZ3, the company’s next-generation flagship smartphone at the IFA in Berlin on August 30th. Today it has posted the first teaser image that shows Xperia along with the date and it says ‘Seeing is believing’ hinting at AMOLED display for the smartphone.

Google at the ‘Google for India’ event announced ‘Read out Loud’ feature for Google Go browser that lets listen to web pages out loud in 28 languages including Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil in a natural sounding voice. It is powered by natural language processing and speech synthesis AI and works even in 2G connections with minimal cellular data use.

Xiaomi Mi TV sales cross 500,000 units in India in over 6 months of launch

Xiaomi India today announced that it has sold more than 500,000 or 5 lakh units of Mi LED TVs in about six months of launch back in February.
