Ahead of IFA later this week, LG has introduced the G7 One, Android One smartphone with stock Android, and the LG G7 Fit. Both these have a 6.1-inch QHD+ 19.5:9 FullVision LCD Super Bright display, are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, meet MIL-STD 810G requirements, have Hi-Fi Quad DAC, 8-megapixel front camera and a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0, similar to the LG G7 ThinQ . Government allows commercial operation of drones in India from December; adopts all-digital process

Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) today released Drone Regulations 1.0 to fly commercial drones from December 1 and also introduced Digital Sky Platform is the first-of-its-kind national unmanned traffic management (UTM) platform that implements “no permission, no takeoff” (NPNT), an all-digital process offering one-time registration of their drones, pilots and owners. ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) Blue color variant launched in India

ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 in India back in April in Deepsea Black and Gray color variants, and the phone went on sale in May. The 6GB RAM version of the phone went on sale  last month. Today the company has launched the Blue color variant of the smartphone.

Samsung Electronics today has announced the roll out of CJ79 34-inch and CJ89 43-inch curved monitors. The CJ79 features Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and is designed for creative and business audiences. It was introduced at the CES earlier this year, and is compatible with Macs and PCs, the CJ79 features two Thunderbolt 3 ports that transmit display, data, and power at a processing speed of up to 40 Gigabits per second, eight times faster than USB 3.0, and simultaneously charges devices up to 85 watts(W). RCOM completes sale of fiber assets worth Rs. 3000 crore to Reliance Jio

Last week Reliance Communications (RCOM) announced the completion of the sale of its Media Convergence Nodes (MCNs) and related infrastructure assets, worth Rs 2,000 crore, to Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIO). Today the company announced the completion of the sale of its fiber and related infrastructure assets, worth Rs 3,000 crore, to Reliance Jio.

Airtel is offering free Netflix subscription for 3 months to select Postpaid and Home Broadband users

Airtel has expanded its partnership with Netflix in India under which subscribers of select Airtel Postpaid and V-Fiber Home Broadband plans will receive a three-month gift of a Netflix subscription. Post that they can pay the Netflix subscription seamlessly, using their Airtel postpaid or home broadband bill. Existing Netflix subscribers will also be eligible for this gift. Subscribers not eligible for the gift will be able to sign up to Netflix through Airtel’s apps and pay for their subscription using their Airtel bill. Honor 8X and 8X Max with FHD+ notch display, dual rear cameras, 4900mAh battery to be announced on September 5

After TENAA certification and teasers, Huawei’s Honor brand has officially confirmed that it will introduce the Honor 8X and 8X Max smartphone in China on September 5th. TENAA certifications revealed a large 7.12-inch LCD screen with a notch, so this could be the 8X Max. It will be powered by an Octa-Core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz (Could be Snapdragon 636) with 4GB RAM. It has a 16-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots.
