Samsung announced its foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold in February this year and the company started the pre-orders of the smartphone in the US on April 15th. It received a great response and Samsung closed the pre-orders for now. Today, new reports have emerged suggesting that Samsung is all set to bring the Galaxy Fold smartphone in India next month.

Apple said to launch new 4.7-inch iPhone 8 with A13 processor in 2020

Apple launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in September 2017. Recently, Apple started to assemble the iPhone 7 at Wistron facility in Bengaluru and the company is expected to start assembling iPhone X in Chennai soon. But this did not bring an impact on the prices. OnePlus has released new OxygenOS open beta updates for the OnePlus 6 (beta 16), 6T (beta 16), 5 (beta 30) and 5T (beta 28) that brings several improvements, including improved network speed display, support for quick reply in the notification bar in landscape mode, tutorial in shelf and more. It also adds new Parking location feature in the launcher.

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand just announced the HONOR 20i, the company’s latest smartphone in the HONOR 20 series in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.21-inch FHD+ display with about 90% screen-to-body ratio,  Kirin 710 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0, 24-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots and 8-megapixel 120° ultra wide-angle lens. Samsung Galaxy A70 with 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED Infinity-U display, in-display fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs. 28990

Samsung just launched the Galaxy A70, the company’s latest A-Series smartphone in India, after it was introduced last month. It has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 20: 9 aspect ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 SoC. It has 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI, features a 32-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel 123° ultra wide-angle lens. Meizu 16s with 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, in-display fingerprint sensor, 48MP camera to be announced on April 23

After the phone got certified by TENAA in China last month, Meizu today confirmed that it will introduce its flagship 16s smartphone at an event in Zhuhai, China on April 23rd. It says 1 % selected out of 100% Efforts. We already know that the phone will come with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a notch with minimal bezels, dual rear cameras with ring LED flash, which includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main sensor and the phone will likely come with an in-display fingerprint scanner similar to the predecessor.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 goes on open sale in India

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India starting at Rs. 9999 in February, and the phone went on sale starting from March 6th. After six weeks of weekly sale, the company today started selling the phone through open sale on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.

Netflix reports 18.4% profit, adds record 9.6 million new users in Q1 2019

Netflix has reported $4.52 billion revenue, up 22% YoY and profit of $344 million, up 18.4% YoY in the first quarter of 2019. It has added 9.6 million new customers in the quarter, up 16% YoY, which is the highest quarterly paid net adds in the company’s history. Average streaming paid memberships increased 26% year over year, while ARPU decreased 2%
year over year due to currency headwinds.

TikTok ban: App removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App store in India after court order

TikTok

TikTok app has been removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store after Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology had sent a letter to Apple and Google to abide by court order to prohibit downloading of TikTok Mobile Application. This comes after the Madurai Bench of the Madras high court yesterday refused a request by the China’s Bytedance Technology to suspend a ban on the app.
