Meizu, along with three smartphones, also launched the EP52 Lite water-resistant Bluetooth Earphones and Halo headset, which is a Bluetooth in-ear headset. The EP52 Lite earphones targeted at runners and outdoor users under the EP series. Since EP52 works over Bluetooth, it is completely wireless and at a mere 16 grams, these headphones are fairly lightweight as well. Considering these earphones are waterproof (IPX5), the earbuds feature a nano-coating that makes it sweat and waterproof.
Meizu, along with the 16th and M6T, also launched its budget C9 smartphone in the country, as it had promised. Meizu just launched M6T, its latest smartphone in India. It packs a 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 processor and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX278 RGBW sensor, LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel secondary rear camera to capture depth information for portrait shots and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Meizu just launched its flagship Meizu 16th smartphone in India as it had proimsed. It packs a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display from Samsung with 91.18% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 1.43mm side bezels and 5.74mm chin, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 8GB of RAM, has custom copper cooling tube and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor that has 99.12% high recognition rate that can unlock the phone in 0.25 seconds.
Apple has announced that 70% of eligible iPhones, iPod touch devices are running on iOS 12 as of December 3rd, 2018. The adoption rate is up 10% in just five weeks; as of October 29th, iOS 12 was installed on 63% on all eligible devices. The combined AR and VR headset market grew 9.4% year over year in the Q3 2018, according to the IDC. The VR headset market returned to growth in Q3 2018 after four consecutive quarters of decline and now makes up 97% of the combined market. Inseego Corp and Verizon demonstrated Virtual Reality Telemedicine over 5G at Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit. Both the companies have conducted a live virtual reality telemedicine demonstration in partnership with Columbia University using an Inseego mobile hotspot device that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and Snapdragon X50 5G modem and antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end, and antenna elements, running on Verizon’s 5G NR mobile network. Samsung, Qualcomm, and Verizon have announced a successful 5G New Radio (NR) data connection using 400MHz of bandwidth in the 28GHz spectrum, resulting in maximum throughput of more than 1.7 Gbps. The data connection demonstrated the delivery of multi-gigabit 5G speeds to a smartphone form-factor mobile test device. At the third-annual Snapdragon Tech Summit, Qualcomm introduced the first commercial 5G mobile platform, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform that will enable commercial 5G networks and mobile devices in Early 2019. Snapdragon 855 mobile platform will be combined with Snapdragon X50 5G modem family and Qualcomm QTM052 mmWave antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end and antenna elements, helping OEMs address the exponential increase in device design complexity that comes with 5G in both sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands.
POCO today rolled out new MIUI 10 8.12.4 beta update for testers that brings new camera features including 960fps slow-motion video recording in addition to 120fps and 240fps, however the company is yet to bring 4K 60fps support, which was promised couple of months back.
