Samsung Galaxy A60 with 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display, triple rear cameras and Galaxy A40s with 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity-V display announced


Samsung this week introduced Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s, new set of smartphones in the Galaxy A series in China and Hong Kong. It packs a 6.3-inch Full HD+  Infinity-O  LCD display, compared to AMOLED Infinity-U screen on the A70, but this  is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 with 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI, features a 32-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel 123° ultra wide-angle lens, similar to the A70.

It has a 16-megapixel front camera, gradient back, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, hybrid dual SIM slot and a 3500mAh battery with fast charging, but this lacks the 3.5mm audio jack. Some reports say that it uses screen sound technology that uses the phone’s screen as an earpiece.

The  Galaxy A40s is the variant of the M30, but this comes with a 6.4-inch HD+   Super AMOLED Infinity-V display, instead of Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display on the M30. Other specifications including  triple rear cameras that includes a 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and a 5-megapixel 123-degree ultra-wide lens, Exynos 7904 14nm SoC, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging are similar.

The Samsung Galaxy A60 comes in Black, Blue and Orange colors, is priced at 1999 yuan (US$ 298 / Rs. 20,685 approx.) and will go on sale in China from later this April. The Galaxy A40s comes in Black, Blue and Gold colors, is priced at 1499 yuan (US$ 223 / Rs. 15,510 approx.) and will go on sale in China soon.
