OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in India, as it had promised. It was introduced at an event in UK yesterday, packs 10GB of RAM and 30 watt Warp Charge 30, OnePlus’ new charging standard that promises 50% charge in just 20 minutes of charge for a day’s use. That company has used new Integrated Circuits in both the charger and the phone, as well as finely tuned power management software without generating excessive heat.

OnePlus 5 and 5T Android 9.0 (Pie) open beta update starts rolling out

OnePlus has released Android 9.0 (Pie) open beta update for its 5 and 5T smartphones (Open Beta 22 for the OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 20), ahead of stable roll out in the coming weeks. This comes after the OnePlus 6 got the stable Android Pie-based OxygenOS 9.0 update back in September. According to IDC, worldwide smartphone shipments are expected to decline by 3% in 2018 before returning to low single-digit growth in 2019 and through 2022. After a leak, Huawei P Smart (2019) a mid-range smartphone has been listed by a French retailer revealing complete specifications and images. It has a 6.21-inch Full HD+ waterdrop notch display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and over 90% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC with 3GB RAM, support for GPU Turbo 2.0 and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for AI portraits and AI scene detection.

Vivo NEX dual screen smartphone with Snapdragon 845, 10GB RAM, TOF 3D camera, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Vivo just introduced its flagship NEX series smartphone with dual displays as it had promised. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with 91.63% screen-to-body ratio and a secondary display on the back with 5.49-inch FHD resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 with 10GB of RAM and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with Funtouch OS 4.5 on top. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX363 sensor, 4-axis OIS, similar to the first-gen NEX, but this uses a 2-megapixel secondary night vision camera with 2.9μm pixel size, as well as additional TOF 3D Sensing camera for high-precision 3D depth information using 300,000 infrared points.
