OnePlus has released more details regarding its upcoming Nord 6 smartphone ahead of India launch next week. Marketed primarily toward young professionals, the device focuses on processing power, battery capacity, camera hardware, and integrated artificial intelligence tools.
Durability and Build Quality

The physical design of the Nord 6 features sharp, minimalist edges and extensive environmental protections. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, indicating a high level of resistance to dust, water immersion, and high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
The front display is protected by Crystal Guard Glass, which OnePlus states is comparable to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ in terms of drop and scratch resistance. Furthermore, the smartphone has been tested against MIL-STD-810H standards, which included repeated drop tests and exposure to detergent-filled hot water.

Core Hardware and Performance
The OnePlus Nord 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 platform. According to the manufacturer, the device supports 165 FPS gaming and features “chip-accelerated” Wi-Fi connectivity. It is equipped with a notably large 9000mAh battery, designed to support heavy daily usage and demanding tasks.
Camera Specifications

The camera system includes a 50-megapixel Sony primary sensor equipped with dual-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras utilize a multi-focusing hardware sensor designed to improve sharpness and detail, particularly in low-light conditions.
Video capabilities include 4K recording at 60 frames per second. The device also features a “4K Motion Photo Clipper,” which records a three-second video clip with audio, allowing users to select and export a specific frame as a full-resolution 4K still image. The camera software is driven by the same HDR and color processing algorithms used in the flagship OnePlus 15.
Artificial Intelligence Integration

The Nord 6 incorporates several AI-driven features for both photography and daily tasks:
- Photo Editing: A suite of tools, including AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Perfect Shot, allows users to adjust lighting, remove unwanted objects, and sharpen subjects.
- OnePlus Mind Space: This unified storage feature is accessed via a dedicated “Plus Key” or a three-finger swipe, allowing users to instantly save on-screen content.
- Google Gemini Integration: Google’s Gemini assistant connects directly with Mind Space. This allows the assistant to pull from the user’s saved data to provide context-aware suggestions and personalized responses, such as custom travel itineraries.
-
Productivity Tools: The device includes real-time translation for text, video, and calls (with supported languages including Hindi), alongside AI Ghostwriter and AI Scan functionalities.
As usual, the phone will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to OnePlus India online store and offline stores.
