LG’s Q3 2020 profits up 87.7% YoY, Mobile losses narrow

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 16.92 trillion won (US$ 14.24 billion) for the third quarter that ended September 30, 2020, which is up 7.77% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 959 billion won (US$ 807.14 million), up 22.72% YoY, while net profit was up 87.79% YoY to 649.2 billion won. PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite to stop working in India from October 30

After the Indian government banned 118 mobile apps including the popular game  PUBG Mobile, PUBG Corporation said that it no longer authorizes the franchise to Tencent Games in India. Following that, now the company on its official site has announced that it is terminating all service and access to users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite. Apple reports $12.7 billion profit in FY Q4 2020, sets September quarter record in India

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $64.7 billion, up 1% YoY, and set a new September quarter record. It posted net profit of $12.7 billion, down 7.29% YoY and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $0.73 for the financial year Q4 2020 that ended September 26, 2020. During earnings call Tim Cook said that Apple has achieved a new September quarter record, despite the delay in iPhone 12 launch during the quarter, and the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, including retail store closures.

Worldwide Tablet shipments reach 47.6 million units with 24.9% YoY growth in Q3 2020: IDC

The worldwide tablet market continues to show impressive numbers, growing by 24.9% YoY in the third quarter of 2020, shipping 47.6 million units. Worldwide smartphone shipments reach 353.6 Million units; declining 1.3% YoY in Q3 2020: IDC

As the pandemic restrictions around the world have largely been lifted, the smartphone market worldwide has begun to recover from the massive 16% YoY decline it saw for the last quarter. According to IDC, the market recorded 353.6 million units shipped, which calculates to a decline of 1.3% YoY. The top 5 companies were Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple and Vivo.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs based on the RDNA 2 architecture announced
