Samsung’s Q3 2020 profits up 58.74% YoY, mobile profits up 52.4% YoY

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q3 2020 that ended September 30, 2020 in which the company has made revenue of 66.96 trillion won, an increase of 8% YoY. Operating profit rose to 12.35 trillion won, up 58.74% YoY and 51.5% QoQ and net profit rose to 9.36 trillion won, up 48.8% YoY. This is due to stronger sales of memory chips and consumer products. Apple Clips app update brings HDR support, new interface and aspect ratios, and more

Apple has released a new update for their video creation app Clips, bringing with it major changes for version 3.o. It features a newly redesigned interface, landscape orientation for the iPad, support for more aspect ratios, and also the ability to create and shoot create HDR videos from the iPhone 12 series.

India smartphone market ships 53 million units; 9% growth YoY in Q3 2020: Counterpoint

The Indian smartphone market has strongly recovered in the third quarter 2020, shipping over 53 million units and growing by 9% YoY. The growth in this quarter comes after a decline was recorded in Q2 2020, which was caused due to the pandemic restrictions. As the restrictions have been largely lifted, the market bounced back quickly, with Samsung in the lead followed closely by Xiaomi.
