ASUS has finally confirmed that it will launch the Zenfone Max Pro M2 smartphone in India on December 11th, same date as Indonesia. It will be exclusively launched on Flipkart. The company confirmed notch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, Snapdragon SoC, Sony sensor for the rear camera and a large battery promising over two days of battery life.
HMD Global has started sending out invites for the launch of a new smartphone in India on December 10th in Delhi. Based on the ‘Expect more’ teasers, the company is expected to launch the Nokia 8.1 at the event. It was supposed to happen on December 6th, now the event has been postponed to 10th.
Meizu is all set to launch its flagship Meizu 16 smartphone in India on December 5th, based on its teaser on its social channels. The Meizu 16 was introduced back in August and packs a 6-inch Full HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display from Samsung with 91.18% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 1.43mm side bezels and 5.74mm chin, is powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 8GB of RAM, has custom copper cooling tube and feature an in-display fingerprint sensor that has 99.12% high recognition rate. HMD Global just launched the Nokia 7.1, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone in India. It was introduced last month and packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19:9 screen with a notch, 80% screen-to-body ratio, has support for HDR and also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. With HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video.The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight. Xiaomi announced the list of phones eligible for Oreo and Pie updates last month and said that devices are supposed to get Android Pie/Oreo update before the end of this year. Except for Redmi 5, all the devices launched by Xiaomi in India this year have already received Android 8.1 (Oreo) update. It packs a 6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR 90Hz, 1ms response time AMOLED display with DCIP3 gamut with Gaming HDR and Mobile HDR supported by dedicate hardware display chip, is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC that is clocked up to 2.96GHz with 8GB RAM. It has new GameCool system that improves thermals with a copper heat spreader and 3D vapor chamber that efficiently transfer heat away from the SoC and into the body.
Huawei’s Honor brand just launched the Honor 8C, successor of the Honor 7C in India, as it had promised. It packs a 6.26-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch, Snapdragon 632 SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for capturing depth information in portrait shots, AI scene recognition to recognize over 500 scenarios in 22 categories and an 8-megapixel camera on the front with AI beautify features.
