After rumors, Amazon has confirmed that V40 ThinQ penta camera smartphone will go on sale in India from January 20th exclusively on Amazon.in with early access for Prime members starting January 19th at 12PM. The phone was introduced back in October last year and packs a 6.4-inch FullVision OLED display, triple rear cameras with 16MP 107-degree super wide-angle, 12MP standard angle and 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and Triple Shot feature stitches together the images captured with each of the three lenses into a short video file for easy sharing.
Vivo has announced Y91, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Y series’ in India. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio Halo FullView display, is powered by Helio P22 Octa-Core 12nm SoC, has 2GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Funtouch OS 4.5, comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for blur in portraits, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera with support for face unlock.

Airtel today launched 4G services in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, making it the first mobile operator to launch 4G services in the island. This popular tourist destination will also allow visitors be access seamless 4G connectivity. Huawei introduced EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) at the IFA 2018 last year. This week its online-brand Honor has started rolling out the EMUI 9.0 update for the Honor 10, Honor Play and Honor View 10 smartphone in India, as it had promised. Honor already said that the update will improve the user experience in security, AI-driven smart life features, device management and usability.
Three new Samsung smartphones – Galaxy A9 (2018), Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy J6 that were launched last year have received a price cut in India. The quad-ccamera Galaxy A9 and triple-camera Galaxy A7 have received Rs. 3000 price cut from that current MOP, while the Galaxy J6 has received Rs. 1000 price cut from current MOP.
