Sony Xperia L now available in India for Rs. 18990

Sony Xperia L that went on pre-order in India is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Xperia L was announced back in March along with the Xperia SP and packs a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor, 720p HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. Oppo Find 5 Benchmarks

Note: The scores below are based on pre-release firmware. We will update the scores when the final firmware is out.

Oppo unveiled the Oppo Find 5 (X909), one of the first smartphones with a 1080p display back in December 2012. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We got some hands-on time with the device at the MWC 2013 earlier this year, and brought you the unboxing earlier today. Here we have the benchmarks of the devices. Let’s see how it performs when compared to other quad-core Android smartphones.

The Oppo Find 5 was announced back in December 2012 and we did get our sweet short hands-on time with this device with jaw-dropping looks. It is a great looking phone which is solidly built and has powerful internals and an excellent display and priced very reasonably. The package is very well designed and premium and we felt like we were dealing with an expensive piece of jewellery or an high-end electronic device.

Wynncom Mobiles has launched 4 new Android smartphones, G58, G51, G32 and G1 under their Wynncom Wiz G-series in India. The Wynncom G58 has a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and has 3G support. The G51 comes with a 5-inch (480×800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, but comes only with 2G (EDGE) support. Both these phones run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Both the Wynncom G32 and the G1 come with a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Samsung Galaxy S4 gets first software update to improve stability

It’s been barely a week since Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in India and the device has already got a software update via OTA.The update brings stability improvements to the S4 and looks like an initial bug fix update.The phone is already running on Android 4.2.2 and this looks like a low level firmware update and not an OS update. iBall Andi 5L with 5-inch display gets priced at Rs. 10490, Andi 5Li coming soon

iBall Andi 5L, the company new Android smartphone in the Andi series is priced at Rs. 10,490 on online retail site Flipkart. This would be the company’s second Android smartphone with a 5-inch display after the Andi 5c that was released last August. Andi 5Li, an upgraded version of the Andi 5L has been spotted on the official iBall website. Both the Andi 5L and the 5Li would come with a 5-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 processor. The Andi 5L runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the Andi 5Li is expected to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) on-board. These phones would also have dual SIM support. Huawei released the Ascend G510, a mid-range Android smartphone at a price tag of Rs. 10990. Here we have the unboxing of the device. The Huawei Ascend G510 packs a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei Emotion UI. This mid-range phone lies between the Huawei Ascend G600 and the Ascend G330 that were launched earlier this year. We reviewed the Ascend Y300 recently.

Videocon A45 and A51 now available for Rs. 6199 and Rs. 8900

Videocon A45 and A51, the company’s new Android smartphones are on sale from online retailer Snapdeal. The Videocon A45 has a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The A51 has a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) touch screen display, powered by a dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Range of Android smartphones including the Videocon A47 A51, A53, A45, A27i and A15 appeared on the official website recently. This would compete with the recently launched Spice Smart Flo Pace 2 Mi-502 and the Micromax A72 Canvas Viva that was launched last month. Sony Honami Cyber-shot camera phone to use a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS sensor ?

Details of the Sony Honami and Togari surfaced earlier this week. The phone is rumored to come with a 16MP or a 20MP Cyber-shot CMOS sensor with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a dual LED flash. Now new details of the phone has emerged that reveals that the phone would have a 1/1.6″ Exmor RS stacked sensor with Sony Cybershot G Lens. It would have a Xenon or dual-LED flash, and plasma flash is also being considered.The camera would have a new user interface, new processing algorithm, similar to Sony’s Cyber-shot digital cameras and Superior Auto Scene Recognition feature, an enhancement to the Superior Auto mode in the Xperia Z/ZL.

HTC M4 press image surfaces, has the HTC One design and UltraPixel camera

The HTC M4 first leaked out back in February earlier this year. Thanks to evleaks, press image of the HTC M4 has surfaced that reveals that the phone would have a similar unibody design like the HTC One that was announced back in February. The phone would come with a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and a dual-core Snapdragon CPU as the earlier rumor suggested. It is also expected to come with a UltraPixel rear camera with LED Flash similar to the HTC One and Beats audio support support, but it would pack a 1700 mAh battery. Sony launched the Xperia SP in India earlier this month. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It has a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. The MSM8960 chip in the Xperia SP is based on 28-nanometer (nm) process technology that offers less power consumption, unlike the Xperia SL.
