Samsung has announced Samsung Rugby Smart, waterproof (up to 1m for 30 minutes) and dustproof Android smartphone for AT&T. It has 3.7-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen display and a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and 1.3 MP front facing camera. HTC Ville and Huawei Prism shows up at T-Mobile’s list

ZTE to unveil 8 new devices including Windows Phone and Multi-Core Android phones at MWC 2012

ZTE has announced that they would unveil 8 new devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next week. Samsung Galaxy S2 sales cross 20 million units

Samsung has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S2 sales (to channels and distributors) have surpassed 20 million units worldwide, 10 months after the launch. The 4.3-inch Android phone with super AMOLED Plus display was launched in Korea last April and later launched in other Asian and European countries Worldwide. 1 million units of Galaxy S2 were sold in Korea in the first 30 days. Google Docs for Android gets Real-time collaboration, Rich text formatting and more

Google Docs for Android has been updated to version 1.0.54 that brings new features such as real-time collaboration that lets you see updates in real time as others type on their PC, tablet or the Android phones. The new interface offers pinch to zoom that enables you to focus on a specific paragraph. It also has rich text formatting such as bold, italics, underline, font color and background color.

Asus Transformer Prime Bootloader unlock tool now available for download


Asus has finally released the Bootloader unlock tool for the Transformer Prime tablet as they announced last month. This would be useful for the modding community who would like to have the bootloader unlocked and also for people who would like to install custom ROM on their tablet. Firefox mobile will soon support ARMv6 handsets

Firefox is one of the major desktop browsers and it has been slowly trying to capture the mobile market too as most of the people are now using handheld device, but the main problem is that Firefox for mobile only supports ARMv7 handsets as of now, which means that it cannot be run on more than 50% percent of Android devices available in the market right now. But Mozilla has confirmed that they are working a update which will bring ARMv6 handset support to Firefox mobile.

NEC to bring 3 LTE handsets with Android 4.0 to MWC 2012

NEC is a good manufacturer, I remember getting their tablet running touch Windows XP, it was a great device, I also used some of their chips while doing my research on Microprocessors and Micrcontrollers, but they have not been very active in the international markets from quite some time now, but as the mobile industry is booming with the help of Android, NEC have decided to come back to action and will be showcasing three interesting devices this MWC running the latest Android 4.0.

LG Optimus 3D Max Android Smartphone unveiled

LG has unveiled the Optimus 3D MAX, successor of the LG Optimus 3D that was launched last year. This is the international variant of the Optimus 3D Cube  that was announced for SK Telecom in Korea earlier today. It has 4.3-inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection that would offer Glasses-Free 3D viewing and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It is just 9.6mm thick and weighs 148g with metallic and rounded edges as the previous rumors suggested. It comes D-style cubicle icons that could also be customized with Icon Customizer app and also has enhanced 3D Converter to convert Google Maps and other road views into 3D. T-Mobile USA has announced that the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G would be available late March.  They unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G at CES last month and it supports upto 42 Mbps data speeds on HSPA+.  It has 3.97-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording with flash and advanced shooting modes, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
