ASUS ZenFone 5Z gets another permanent price cut in India

ASUS launched the Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India back in July last year. Few months after the launch, the company started offering Rs. 5000 discount on all the versions, later it announced a permanent price cut for the phone. The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version was sold out few months back. Now the 6GB RAM + 128GB is available for Rs. 24,999 and the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version is available for Rs. 28,999, after the latest price cut. ASUS Zenfone 5Z Android 9.0 (Pie) update roll out begins starting from Taiwan

Last month ASUS confirmed that the 5Z will get the Android Pie update by the end of January 2019, and at the launch of Zenfone Max Pro M2 earlier this month, it once again confirmed the same. Today the company has started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the phone in Taiwan, earlier than expected.

ASUS Zenfone 5Z Android 9.0 (Pie) update will roll out in January 2019

ASUS launched its flagship Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL) smartphone in India back in July running Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0. Today the company has confirmed that it will roll out the Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the smartphone by the end of January 2019. It also said that the update will be rolled out in a phased manner to avoid update server congestion.

Asus Zenfone 5Z update adds RAW support, Panorama, camera improvements and more

ASUS launched its flagship Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India last month at a competitive price tag of Rs. 29,999. Today the company has started rolling out a new update that brings several new camera features, including option to save images in RAW format, shoot Panorama pictures, turn EIS on or off, several camera improvements, WiFi stability improvements and bug fixes. It was introduced at the MWC earlier this year, packs a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Super IPS display with notch design and 90% screen-to-body ratio with AI Display for auto color temperate adjustment, is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with support for up to 8GB RAM, runs Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with support for OIS, Sony IMX363 sensor and 0.03s  Dual-pixel PDAF along with AI scene detection to detect 16 type of scenes automatically and has a secondary 8-megapixel rear camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens for portrait shots and shoot images with wider view. Asus Zenfone 5Z price surfaces on Flipkart ahead of India launch, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version could start at Rs. 29999

ASUS is all set to launch its lagship Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India  tomorrow exclusively on Flipkart. Now the pricing of three variants of the smartphones have been surfaced on Flipkart. This reveals that the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version will cost Rs. 29,999, cheaper than the OnePlus 6 and the Honor 10. Also this will be the cheapest Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone in the country. ASUS Zenfone 5Z with 6.2-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 845 goes on sale in Europe, is cheaper than the OnePlus 6

ASUS introduced its flagship Zenfone 5Z smartphone at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona earlier this year. As promised the smartphone has started rolling out from Europe with the phone going on sale in France and Italy for 499 Euros (US$ 588 / Rs. 39,785 approx.), making it the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 845 SoC in Europe till date, cheaper than the OnePlus 6 that costs 519 Euros. There is also 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version that costs 599 Euros (US$ 706 / Rs. 47,770 approx.) that is available only in France.
