Xiaomi just announced Redmi 3, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Redmi series in China. It packs a 5-inch HD screen that is clearly visible under bright sunlight, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 SoC, runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. After launching the Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India last week, Lenovo has launched the A7000 Turbo smartphone in the country, which has same specifications as the K3 Note. To remind you, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 72% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek processor, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Yesterday there was a report that said BlackBerry won’t launch any new smartphones running on its own BlackBerry 10 software in 2016 and could launch a couple of devices running on Android instead. Now BlackBerry CEO has confirmed that BlackBerry will continue to offer software updates for its BlackBerry 10 smartphones. He also doesn’t specifically say the company will be releasing any new BlackBerry 10 devices this year. Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the 2015 Moto G (3rd gen) (XT1550) in India, a week after it announced the update for the smartphone. It started rolling out the update in U.S and Canada last month. Motorola rolled out Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year and the Moto X Play got the update earlier this week. Lenovo launched the most expected Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India earlier this Tuesday. On the same day it started registrations on Amazon for the standalone version at Rs. 11,999 and the Vibe K4 Note VR Bundle at Rs. 12,499. Lenovo has announced that the K4 Note has received over 2,00,000 Registrations in two days after the launch.
