Karbonn A12 with 4.5-inch display, 1 GHz processor now available for Rs. 7699

Karbonn A12, a new Android Smartphone is now available from online retailers Saholic and Flipkart in India. It has a 4.5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch sceen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), similar to the Karbonn A21 that was launched last year. The A12 is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Samsung Galaxy Camera Wi-Fi-only version announced

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Camera (Wi-Fi). It comes with similar features of the original Galaxy Camera that was announced at IFA, Berlin last August, but it lacks the SIM card slot for 4G LTE/3G connectivity and would be much affordable. The Galaxy Camera was launched in India last November, and we reviewed it at the end of November. Samsung rolled out the Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy Camera earlier this year. Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the International Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) starting from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Germany. Samsung confirmed back in December that the Galaxy Note would get the multi-screen / multi-window feature in the Android 4.1 update. The Samsung Galaxy S2 got the Jelly Bean update last month. Huawei has officially launched the Huawei Ascend Y210D that went on sale in India last week. It is an entry-level smartphone that packs a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Cortex A5 processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 2MP camera at the back with CMOS sensor and packs a 1700 mAh battery that uses Huawei’s Power Saving Technology that would offer up to 30% more battery life. Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS707C, their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and comes with WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. It has a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The company launched Penta T-Pad WS802C-2G, a 8-inch Android tablet with Voice calling last year. Simmtronics Semiconductors has launched XPAD X-1010, their new Android tablet with a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor and comes with a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The company launched the XPAD X-801, an 8-inch tablet with voice calling support last month. Micromax Funbook P600 with 7-inch display, Voice calling, 1 GHz dual-core processor now available for Rs. 9499

Micromax Funbook P600, the company’s latest Android tablet is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. Most of the features are similar to the Micromax Funbook Talk (P350) that was launched last year including a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but this one is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8225A) processor instead of 1 GHz Allwinner A10 processor in the P350. It has a 2MP camera at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It also has voice calling and 3G support. WhatsApp Messenger for Android gets Holo UI

There have been several unofficial holo-themed WhatsApp Messenger apps for Android for quite some time. Now WhatsApp has officially released the app for Android with Holo UI on their website. This replaces the old Gingerbread UI. The Holo UI brings changes to the chat screen, attachment icons, expandable notifications (Android 4.1+), scrolling through contacts in alphabetical order, new settings screen and lots more. Xolo A1000 with 5-inch HD IPS display, Android 4.1 now available for Rs. 13999


We reported earlier this week about the upcoming Android Smartphone Xolo A1000. Now the phone is now available from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display One Glass Solution (OGS) Technology that makes the device slimmer. This technology was used in the Spice Stellar Virtuoso Mi-495 that was launched last month.  It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT 6577 processor withPowerVR SGX 531 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a BSI sensor for low-light imaging. It also has a 1.2 MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor. Micromax A35 Bolt with 1 GHz processor, Flash Transfer launched for Rs. 4250

Micromax has launched the A35 Bolt, the first Android smartphone in the new Bolt series. It has a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It comes with a new Flash Transfer app to swipe ‘n’ share images, videos, songs, files and applications with just a swipe. Users can drag content across the screen or simply shake and share seamlessly between Android devices over WiFi.
