Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro gets Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI Global 10.3 Stable ROM with Dual VoLTE and Dark Mode

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 Pro in India back in September 2018 running MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later in December, it was updated to MIUI 10 which was also based on Android 8.1. Back in February, the company started recruiting Beta testers for testing Android Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for various devices including Redmi 6 Pro. Redmi Note 7S will go on open sale in India starting today midnight

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India last week starting at Rs. 10999, and the phone went on sale across Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from May 23rd. Xiaomi launched its Mi Business Backpack in India in 2017. Last year it launched the Mi Casual Backpack, Mi City Backpack and Mi Travel Backpack in the country. Redmi K20 with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 730, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

Along with the Redmi K20 Pro, the company also introduced the Redmi K20, a cheaper version with Snapdragon 730 and 6GB of RAM compared to Snapdragon 855 and up to 8GB of RAM. Other specifications including 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio, Android Pie with MIUI 10 and in-display fingerprint scanner are similar, but this has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX582 sensor, while the 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 13-megapixel 124.8° ultra-wide sensor are the same. Xiaomi Redmi 7A with 5.45-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 439, 4000mAh battery, splash-resistant body announced [Update: Price]

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just announced the Redmi 7A, the company’s latest budget smartphone and the successor of last year’s Redmi 6A in China, after it got certified last week.  It has a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by Snapdragon 439, runs Android Pie with MIUI 10, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, AI scene detection and a 5-megapixel front camera with support for AI face unlock and beautify. Similar to other Redmi 7 series phones, this also has a splash resistant P2i coating.

Redmi Note 7 Series sales cross 10 million units globally

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the first Redmi Note 7 smartphone in China back in January, and the Redmi Note 7 Pro made its global debut  in India in February. Today the company has announced that the combined sales of Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro have hit 10 million units globally in about four months or 129 days of launch. Earlier this month the company announced that it has sold 2 million or 20 lakh units of Redmi Note 7 series in India in 2 months
