Redmi K20 Pro MIUI 12 Software Update Tracker [Update: MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 rolling out widely]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in India on July 17th running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). The smartphone has already started receiving Android 10 based MIUI 12 update in various regions including India.

Redmi K20 Pro Android 10 MIUI update rolling out to testers in India and China

Google released Android 10 for its Pixel phones and the Essential Phone also got the update. Xiaomi started recruitment for Android 10 based MIUI 10 testing last week in India, now the company has started rolling out the update to testers in India and China. Even though some say that it’s available for all the users, Mi Community Manager has confirmed that it’s available only for the testers.

Redmi K20 Pro gets a new ‘Honey White’ color variant

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand introduced the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in Flame Red, Glacier Blue and Carbon Fiber Black colors back in China in May, which was later launched in India. Today it has introduced the phone in new white color which it calls ‘Summer Honey White’. This has a gradient finish on the back and golden finish on the sides and around the pop-up camera.

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi K20 Pro, the latest flagship Redmi smartphone, as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to narrow 1.85mm side bezel, which the company calls Horizon AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with up to 8GB of RAM, 8 layers of graphite 3D sheet for a better heat dissipation, Game Turbo 2.0 and runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. Redmi K20 confirmed officially, will be ‘flagship killer’ in the Redmi series

Redmi today confirmed that its upcoming flagship will be called Redmi K20. Regarding the naming, Redmi President Lu Weibing said that the K series is the performance flagship of Redmi, and K stands for killer, so the Redmi K20 will be flagship killer!
