Samsung Electronics has announced that they have started mass production of 3 gigabyte (GB) low power double data rate 3 (LPDDR3) mobile DRAM, for next-generation smartphones. This is industry’s first high-capacity RAM since most of the high-end smartphones use 2GB of RAM. The Samsung 3GB LPDDR3 mobile DRAM uses six 20-nanometer (nm) class 4 gigabit (Gb) LPDDR3 chips. Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa with ARM Mail T628 GPU announced

Samsung has unveiled an upgraded Exynos 5420 Octa chip as they announced last week. The new Exynos Chip is faster that the previous 5410 chip that was announced at the CES 2013 earlier this year. The Exynos 5420 Octa chip has fours Cortex A15 chips clocked at 1.8 GHz and four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.3 GHz in a big.LITTLE processing implementation. The first Exynos 5410 Octa chip used in the global variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is also based on Samsung’s ARM big.LITTLE architecture with four Cortex A15 chips clocked at 1.6 GHz and four Cortex A7 chips running at 1.2 GHz. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom up for pre-order on official eStore for Rs. 29390

Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 Zoom (SM-C1010) along with the Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9192) in India earlier this month. The S4 mini went on pre-order from the official Samsung India eStore last week. Now the Galaxy S4 Zoom is now available for pre-order. It has a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and Xenon Flash, 4.3 inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). With the announcement of the next version of Galaxy Note getting closer and closer, rumors continue to spread across the Internet. In the latest turn of events, Samsung has teased an updated Exynos 5 Octa SoC through their Twitter account. This updated Exynos 5 Octa is expected to feature in one of the variants of the Galaxy Note 3. The image posted by Samsung suggests an evolved SoC from the previous generation. According to the image, the already powerful Exynos 5 Octa is getting even more powerful and enhanced.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200), the company’s first smartphone with a 6.3-inch display back in May in India. It went on sale in India last month. We brought you the unboxing of the Mega 6.3 earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the first smartphone to launch in India with a dual-core Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 chip clocked at 1.7 GHz. It is based on Krait 300 architecture and 28nm process. It has Adreno 305 GPU . Let’s find out how the phone fairs up in benchmarks when compared to other devices.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 3 310 (SM-T310) and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 (SM-T311), 2 new tablets in India at an event in Delhi. It was announced last month as Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and packs a 8-inch (1280×800) IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor  and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Unlike the Galaxy Note 510, this doesn’t come with stylus support. The Tab 3 310 is the WiFi-only variant and the Tab 3 311 comes with 3G support via SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 3 211 in India. It was announced back in April as the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and packs a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with 3G support via SIM card slot and voice calling capabilities similar to the Galaxy Tab 2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0 likely to launch tomorrow in India

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and 8.0 inch devices were launched separately, with one device announced in April and the other on the 3rd of June, with not that much of a fanfare. In less than two months, it has been teased as “coming to India” on Samsung’s Facebook page and is also being displayed as “coming soon” in the Samsung India eStore for the both the models. The Galaxy Tab 3 devices are an evolution of the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet and are all equipped with voice calling capabilities, much like the original Galaxy Tab. Boasting 7 and 8 inch screens respectively, they are much of the earlier Samsung device like the Tab 2 310 and the Note 8.0. It is also likely that Samsung will be launching both the devices tomorrow, as we have just received an invite for a press conference tomorrow.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-I9200), the company’s first smartphone with a 6.3-inch display back in May in India. It went on sale in India last month. We brought you the review of the Mega 5.8 earlier today. Here we have the unboxing of the Mega 6.3. The package is made of 100% recycled material and features a wood-like finish similar to the other phones such as Galaxy S4 and the S4 Zoom. This also looks better than the  plain white box.  The Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the first smartphone to launch in India with a dual-core Snapdragon 400 MSM8930 chip. It is clocked at 1.7 GHz and has Adreno 305 GPU. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 has a Broadcom BCM28155 processor and VideoCore 4 GPU.
