Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition announced at IFA 2013

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is the third device that Samsung announced at the IFA 2013. It is a huge upgrade over the original Note 10.1 which was launched in 2012. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition comes with a high resolution 2560×1600 SC LCD display making it similar to the Samsung Nexus 10. The Galaxy Note 10.1 will launch with Android 4.3 Jellybean along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and features complete with S-Pen. Along with the improved display, the Note 10.1 will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos Octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz and it will have 3GB of RAM exactly like Galaxy Note 3. The Note 10.1 will come with a 8MP camera at the back and 2MP camera at the front.

Samsung Galaxy Gear with 1.63inch display announced at IFA

Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch finally went official at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin, Germany. The Galaxy Gear was one of the most expected devices at the Samsung Unpacked 2. Galaxy Gear smart watch comes with a 1.63inch 320×320 pixels AMOLED display.

In terms of design, the front of the Galaxy Gear is dominated by the display and it is surrounded by metal frame (unusual for Samsung). The strap on the smart watch is made of rubber and as predicted by the rumors, there is a camera that is built onto the strap. The Galaxy Gear isn’t anything on its own and it mainly serves as a companion for your smartphone. The Galaxy Gear is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth.

Since only the latest version of Android (4.3 Jellybean) supports Low energy bluetooth profile, the number of compatible devices is expected to be limited at launch.

When connected to a smartphone, the Galaxy Gear will have the ability to receive calls, take voice memos and it will display all the notifications from your smartphone.

The Galaxy Gear smart watch will be available in six different colors at launch – Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green.

There is no word on pricing yet, but the Galaxy Gear will be launching along with Galaxy Note 3 on September 25th across 140 countries.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with 5.7inch Full HD display announced, shipping starts Sept 25

Samsung has just announced the third iteration of their successful premium phablet series – Galaxy Note 3. The Galaxy Note 3 was announced at the IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. The Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Just like their flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3 will come in two variants – the international variant sporting the Exynos Octa chipset and the USA variant sporting the Snapdragon 800 SoC. Both the variants will come with 3GB RAM and will have 16/32/64GB variants and a microSD card slot.

Samsung S-View Cover on the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, it works

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition was launched with much anticipation, as to how it will work and how the updates will roll out. While the immediate roll out of 4.3 inspired confidence there was always a worry that buying the S4 Google Play Edition will strip out all the important features of TouchWiz. While that still stands true, we found that one neat feature of the TouchWiz enabled S4 still works for the Google Play Edition, and that is the S4 View Cover functionality. We snapped the S4’s S-View Cover on to the S4 GPE and shot a quick demo of it for you –

Samsung launched the Tab 3 211 with 3G support and voice calling last month, along with the Tab 3 310 and 311. Now the Galaxy Tab 3 210, Wi-Fi variant of the tablet is available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It doesn’t have a SIM card slot or voice calling capabilities like the Tab 3 211. Samsung Gear Manager screenshots leak ahead of Galaxy Gear smartwatch launch

It is no secret that Samsung plans to introduce a smartwatch at its upcoming event at IFA. Ahead of the launch, prolific leaker of upcoming devices ie evleaks has posted screenshots of the application that will interface with the watch.

The images confirm that the watch will be using NFC for pairing with smartphones but will also employ regular bluetooth based connectivity. The watch that is named SM-V700 will have a variety of apps including clock faces and several Samsung specific applications. A My Apps section can also be seen in the software but it remains to be seen what is included here. A find my watch function will presumably trigger an alarm and/or vibration feedback to help you locate your watch. Nokia Lumia 925 Blind Test – Flagship Shoot Out

The Nokia Lumia 925 launched just six days back in India with a price tag of Rs. 33,499. It was announced back in May, as a refreshed alternative to people who didn’t like the bulk and design of the good old Nokia Lumia 920. The camera was supposedly improved, along with the build and design, with a six element lens and all new algorithms, while retaining all the PureView OIS goodness that the 920 was known for. While the Lumia 920 was good, it had problems with defocused softer photos and overall unreliable performance, making it a tougher buy when compared to other flagships. But, does the Lumia 925 fix that? Can it produce better pictures than competing flagship devices? Exactly what we are going to see today.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 that was announced earlier this year. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes only in Wi-Fi variant with 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot. Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 vs Lenovo K900

Samsung is undoubtedly one of the front runners of the Android race while Lenovo are catching up with them fast. Samsung has been looking to expand its Galaxy portfolio and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a result of company’s interest in the 6inch+ category while the Lenovo K900 is Lenovo’s current flagship powered by an Intel processor.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was launched at the end of May in Indian while the Lenovo K900 has been available since June although it had been announced way back in January earlier this year. Despite being different devices of different capabilities, they are priced almost similarly and lets check out which of the two performs better.

Samsung Galaxy Gear and Note 3 coming on September 4th, confirms Samsung VP

Samsung had already sent out press invite for the Unpacked 2013 Episode 2, where the company is expected to unveil the new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3. Samsung trademarked the Galaxy Gear name earlier this month, which confirmed the existence of the smartwatch. Now, Lee Young-hee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, has confirmed that Samsung unveil its first Smartwatch named Galaxy Gear at the September 4th event in Germany, reports The Korea Times. Samsung Galaxy Golden flip phone with dual 3.7-inch displays, Android 4.2 launched in Korea

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Golden (SHV-E400) with dual 3.7 inch (800 x 480 pixels) Super AMOLED displays. Since there is a display on the front of the smartphone, you can also used it when it’s closed. You can flip open to use the other screen with a keyboard. Samsung aims to target the mid-aged or older demographic segments with this phone. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.9-megapixel camera.  It also comes with S health, business card recognition, easy mode and more features.
