The LG G2 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone that was launched at an event in New York last month, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the second phone in the Galaxy Note series that was launched last year. The LG G2 is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 Quad-core processor, Mali-400MP GPU. Check out the quick hands on comparison from the IFA.

Samsung Exynos 5 Octa Heterogeneous Multi-Processing

Samsung has announced that the company’s Exynos 5 Octa chip would get Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) that would let each CPU to be switched on or off as needed and also enables the use of all physical cores at the same time. This would offer  high-performance and low-power to carry out tasks such as 3D gaming, complex augmented reality and advanced web browsing, says Samsung. MediaTek announced the new MT8135 quad-core chip and True Octa-Core solution with ARM big.LITTLE architecture, which also uses a similar Heterogeneous Multi-Processing technique to use all the core at the same time. The LG G2 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone that was launched at an event in New York last month, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the latest smartphone in the Galaxy S series that was launched earlier this year. The LG G2 is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by a 1.9 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 / Exynos Octa Processor, here for the comparison we have the Google Play Edition with a Snapdragon 600 processor. Samsung even released the Galaxy S4 LTE-A  with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor in select countries. Sony Xperia Z1 vs Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Hands on

The Sony Xperia Z1 is the latest flagship device announced by the Japanese smartphone manufacturer. We’ve already gone hands on with it and brought to you all the latest details of the phone. Given the camera centric pedigree of the phone, we found it apt to compare with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. Here’s a quick comparison between the two.

The front of the Xperia Z1 has a 5inch Full HD display with the company’s triluminous display built in while the Galaxy S4 Zoom makes do with a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD panel. The Z1 has no capacitive buttons and makes do with onscreen controls. The S4 Zoom on the other hand has a hardware home key right below the display with capacitive buttons on either side of it.

The IFA event at Berlin, one of the increasingly important consumer electronic trade shows, just started, but tons of devices have already been launched. Amongst them, standing out from the crowd, is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, unveiled with much excitement and fervor, as leaks failed to provide proper information before launch. The Note 3 is the third iteration of the very popular Note series of devices Samsung made popular. The range, infamously held responsible for creating the phablet phenomenon, also created a paradigm shift in the company, for its portfolio.

Earlier this year Samsung announced the Galaxy S4 and then, to compete against the waterproof Sony Xperia Z, they introduced the Galaxy S4 Active. The S4 Active is a durable version of the Galaxy S4, with a thicker design and IP67 dust and water resistance. Traditionally durable smartphones have come with less-than-stellar specs lists but the Galaxy S4 Active aims to buck this trend.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311

Today we have the new Google Nexus 7 (2013) against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311. The new Nexus 7 was launched in July and is yet to be available in India while the Galaxy Tab 3 was launched in July and has been available since then in India.

The Nexus 7 comes with an upgraded processor, much better display and a rear camera which was absent in its predecessor while the Galaxy Tab 3 has Samsung’s Exynos SoC.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311 vs Apple iPad Mini

Samsung’s dominance in the smartphone market is well-known, but the South Korean electronics giant is yet to stamp its authority on the Tablet market. Apple was the company that brought back tablets to life with their original iPad.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311 was launched in July  while the iPad Mini was launched way back last year. The iPad Mini is almost at the end of its product cycle while the Tab 3 is quite fresh.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Hands On

We were live blogging the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch event from Berlin and we did manage to get our hands on the device.It does look slightly different from the previous generation Galaxy Note 2 in terms of the design and features.It has a larger 5.7 inch display and feels pretty nice to hold in hand thanks to the new textured back which is not a fingerprint magnet.The back cover is still removable.It supports LTE globally on every network according to Samsung.It also supports Ultra HD or 4K video capture which is pretty new to phones. It weighs 168grams and is about 8.33 m thick and the iconic stylus or S-pen is still part of the package.

Samsung Galaxy Gear Hands On

Much has been leaked about Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Today at the Unpacked Event in Berlin, we finally got a chance to see for ourselves if the Korean giant’s first efforts to enter into the world of wearables would be something special and here are our first impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Gear. Shaped like a conventional watch, the Gear is chunky to say the least. It might not be the most visually appealing smartwatch but it’s not an eye sore either.
