Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Sony Xperia Z1
Sony and Samsung announced their flagship devices at IFA 2013. Samsung was the first company to step into the 5inch + category with their original Galaxy Note and it was a very successful experiment. Samsung continued to reap even bigger rewards with the second interation of the Note series – Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Samsung is all set to make it three in a row with their Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Sony, on the other hand don’t have a colorful Android history to share as they are just coming back from a land where they were always late to the party. Sony introduced the their first camera centric flagship – Sony Xperia Z1 at the IFA 2013 in Berlin. Sony Xperia Z1 had leaked numerous times prior to launch and when Sony announced it, nothing came as a surprise – even the 20.7MP camera. Sony Xperia Z1 has the biggest camera sensor on an Android smartphone, even bigger than the one on the camera-phone – Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, but without the optical zoom.
Today, we will be bringing you the best of Samsung against the best of Sony. Both the phones pack some pretty serious processing power and do they have what it takes to dwarf out each other. You can check out the camera comparison video right below.

Samsung was interested in acquiring Cyanogen Mod OS, says Report
If a report from a Chinese media publication is to be believed, Samsung was apparently interested in acquiring the Cyanogen Mod OS. The report/interview claims that these intentions eventually led to Steve Kondik, the CyanogenMod founder, to quit his day job as a software engineer at Samsung. It’s from a popular Chinese tabloid so it’s better we take this with a pinch of salt, but the news is not surprising at all. Samsung is the biggest player in Android and if recent developments like an exclusive dev event and the seemingly parallel services layer in the latest updates of Touchwiz are to be believed, their aspirations to have a separate OS, which is something like an Android fork, is not unfathomable.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs HTC One
Samsung announced the third iteration of their very successful Galaxy Note series at the IFA earlier this year in the form of Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the successor of the extremely popular and successful Galaxy Note 2. Galaxy Note 3 has to live up to its hype that it generated and in terms of specifications, we weren’t disappointed and we definitely wanted Samsung to do something with the design and choice of materials. Samsung have understood that their plastic flagships are no match against competitors like HTC One and hence have tried something different with a faux leather finish at the back of Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
HTC One was announced prior to the MWC 2013 event and was available in India around June by which Samsung had already captured their market with their Galaxy S4. HTC One is the best looking and solidly built Android device yet as it is carved out of an Aluminum Unibody. Something that HTC gambled with their HTC One was its camera department where they introduced a concept called UltraPixel camera which was designed to take better low light images.
Lets check out how these two devices perform against each other.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs LG G2
Samsung announced the third iteration of their Galaxy Note series at IFA 2013 in Berlin – Samsung Galaxy Note 3. LG had announced their flagship – LG G2 a month prior to that. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the successor of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which was a huge hit while LG G2 follows up Optimus G which was a great device, but wasn’t a box office hit exactly. LG is trying new things with their G2 by shedding the “Optimus” word from the title and moving the buttons to the back of the device. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a huge upgrade over the Galaxy Note 2 and the LG G2 is no different. Both Galaxy Note 3 and LG G2 give each other a run for their money. Lets check out how these devices perform.
