The FonePad is one of the first Intel Atom Z2420  powered Android tablets to hit the market. Asus announced the FonePad at MWC 2013 this year along with the Padfone Infinity. The “FonePad” as the name suggests is a 3G tablet and phone packed into a 7 inch tablet form factor at an affordable price point. Yes there are a couple of microphones and an earpiece on the device and you can actually put the FonePad to the ear and make a phone call although we don’t know if it will look cool. The tablet comes in 2 colours – Champagne Gold and Titanium Gray. Here is a video where we unbox the Champagne Gold version of the Asus FonePad.

Xolo launched the Xolo B700 with a last month for Rs. 8,999. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week. Here are the benchmarks of the device. The Xolo B700 features 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) 16M color IPS display with 256 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) similar to the Xolo A700 and A800. This has a humongous 3450 mAh battery that promises up to 23 hours talk time on 2G. Let’s get into the benchmarks.

HTC Desire L with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor announced

HTC has announced the Desire L, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen Super LCD2 display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor similar to the Desire P that was unveiled earlier this month. No details about the Android version. It has a 5MP auto focus camera on the back with LED Flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and comes with Beats audio support. Nokia Lumia 928 with Xenon flash new press image surfaces

First press image of the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon USA surfaced earlier this month. Now a new render of the phone has surfaced from the same source, evleaks. The Nokia Lumia 928, a Lumia 920 rumored under the codename Laser would have a Xenon Flash along with an LED flash similar to the Nokia 808 PureView. The new image looks a bit polished and the phone looks thicker than the Lumia 920 as you can see in the render. This is obvious since the Xenon flash module would be larger than the LED flash. Sony has started rolling out the the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Xperia Tablet S. The Xperia Tablet S was announced in August 2012 running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Intex Aqua Marvel+, successor of the Aqua Marvel has surfaced on the official Intex website. The Intex Aqua Marvel+ has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead), similar to its predecessor, but the Marvel+ has a 5-megapixels camera and the battery capacity is down to 1400 mAh from 1450 mAh. The Optimus L5 II dual (E455) is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It has a 4-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5 MP camera with LED Flash. Micromax A111 upcoming Canvas series smartphone images, specifications leak

Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD, the company’s latest flagship back in January. Images of the A115 Canvas 3D surfaced earlier this month, now images of the another smartphone in the Canvas series, the Micromax A111 has appeared online. According to MMXNewscaster, the phone would feature a 5.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display with 5 point multi-touch that would also let you operate the phone with gloves. The phone would be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225Q processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 8MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. It would also have a 3D Graphics Accelerator. Nokia ships 5.6 million Lumia smartphones in Q1 2013

As part of its quarterly earnings report, Nokia has revealed its device shipments for the 1st quarter of 2013. Reporting an operating loss of $150 million, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer has declared 30% lower shipments. Nokia to launch a phablet in 2013, Lumia with 41MP camera coming in July, says The FT

Nokia is working on a large sized phablet that would launch later this year, according to a recent report from The Financial Times. The report also says that Nokia plans to launch a Lumia PureView device equipped with a 41MP sensor similar to the Nokia 808 is expected to come in July. Nokia Catwalk with aluminium body images surface

First alleged images of the Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone device codenamed Catwalk has surfaced online. This would be a follow up to the Lumia 920, but it would reportedly come with a aluminium body, making it thinner and lighter than the Lumia 920. Specifications of the device surfaced earlier this month. Renders of the Lumia 928 codename Laser with Xenon Flash for Verizon USA surfaced earlier this month.

Sony launched the Xperia SP in India last week at an MRP of Rs. 27490. The phone is now on sale from online retailer Infibeam. The Sony Xperia SP was announced last month and packs a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. It also comes with pre-loaded Sony Music music streaming app that would offer 6 months unlimited music streaming and the Sony LIV video streaming app that would let you watch over 77 Sony TV shows. AOC Breeze 7-inch and 9.7-inch tablets running Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 7990 and Rs. 12990

AOC, popular for it’s monitors and Televisions has entered into the tablet market with the launch of two new Android tablets under the Breeze category. These come in 7-inch and 9.7-inch displays, powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). The display resolutions of these tablets are not available yet. The 9.7-inch Breeze tablet has a micro-HDMI port that would let you connect it to external devices such as Monitors, TVs, and Projectors.
