To resolve existing patent litigation between RIM and Nokia, the two companies have decided to enter into a licensing agreement. Nokia had previously demanded a sales injunction on BlackBerry over the Finnish company’s patents around WiFi networks. While the specific terms of the agreement remain confidential, the financial structure will include a one time payment and on-going payments to Nokia.

We had just unboxed the Nokia Lumia 920 a few days back and are pleasantly surprised by its camera performance, especially in the video recording department. Earlier, we had reported that the latest update of Windows Phone for the current 7.5 devices, the Windows Phone 7.8 has started rolling out to the Nokia Lumia 800 worldwide. We had went ahead with a shortcut for getting the Windows Phone 7.8 onto the Nokia Lumia 800, by flashing an official copy from the Navifirm servers onto our devices. Our first attempt went in vain as we were not able to get the complete set of features that is supposed to have come with the Nokia specific Windows Phone update. So, we gave it another try, and then we had two new apps sitting on our device, Bluetooth share and Ringtone maker.

Windows Phone 7.8 has been relatively an unknown quantity even after the release of Windows Phone 8 because Microsoft has been absolutely mum on any plans of the roll out, but fear not, the schedule for the roll out to Nokia’s Lumia Windows Phones are apparently on target and has started to pop up on the Zune client in the form of a new update!

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nokia Lumia 505 that was surfaced earlier this month has gone official for Mexico. The design of the Lumia 505 is similar to the Lumia 800. It comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED clear black display and runs on Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 8MP EDOF camera, unlike the other Lumia devices that has auto focus camera. It is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 131 grams. No details about the processor yet, but it is likely to come with a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor similar to Lumia 510.
