Nokia Pro Cam on the Lumia 925 – a Walkthrough

Much has been said about the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its amazing camera prowess, but what made it fun was using the camera interface. Yes, the interface, also known as the Nokia Pro Cam, provided the much needed control and versatility for the robust camera hardware that Nokia packed in the Lumia 1020. But the other PureView devices are no exception either and Nokia made sure that 920, 925 and 928 users get the Pro Cam, and eventually they did. We immediately installed it onto the Nokia Lumia 925 and found it to work really well, just like how we found it on the Lumia 1020 earlier. Nokia’s Windows RT tablet detailed, Codenamed Sirius

We’ve previously brought you details and leaked images of Nokia’s Windows RT tablet. Following a spate of reports published today, the tablet is all but confirmed. As expected, the tablet will follow the same design language as seen on the Finnish company’s Lumia range of devices. The device will run on a Snapdragon 800 processor and will be equipped with a 1080p display that is expected to have the ClearBlack technology as seen on its phones. Nokia Lumia 925 – Smart Camera and Cinemagraph Demo

The Nokia Lumia 925 just launched in India for a price of Rs. 33,499 and has started to arrive in retail stores. While it is slowly trickling down to the end user with a premise of it being good at all things camera, we sought to test out each and every feature of the camera in a series of posts, as announced in the launch post. Nokia Lumia 625 launched in India for Rs. 19999

Nokia has officially launched the Lumia 625, the latest Lumia phone in India. It went on pre-order in India online earlier this week. The Lumia 625 was unveiled last month and packs a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) LCD display, which is the largest screen on a Lumia phone till date. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8930 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS with the latest Amber update. It has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Nokia Music and Here Maps. Nokia Lumia 925 officially launched in India for a price of Rs. 33,499

We just witnessed the Nokia Lumia 925 go on sale from the official Indian online store for Rs. 34, 169 but curiously, without much fanfare. Well, Nokia has compensated for that now, with their launch event in New Delhi today. Yes, the Nokia Lumia 925 is finally official, and comes with a price tag of a slightly lesser Rs. 33, 499. The latest all rounded flagship from Nokia is aimed at fixing the few hardware problems the Lumia 920 had, for instance, the design, build and weight. Sporting an all new aluminium build with some hardware improvements like the six element camera lens, the Lumia 925 is for people who didn’t want the Lumia 920 because of the bulk or the used up design.It is kind of interesting to see that Nokia has built a nice little portfolio of Windows Phone devices for India with over 12 devices being introduced in the market so far.

Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 Dual SIM announced in China

The just announced Nokia 106 and Nokia 107 Dual SIM join the Finnish company’s feature phone portfolio. Both phones support quad band GSM networks but the Nokia 107 also brings dual SIM support to the mix.

The phones have a 1.8″ 56k TFT display and measure 112.9 x 47.5 x 4.8mm. Internally you’ll also find an FM Radio, LED light that can be used as a flashlight. The Nokia Lumia 925 went on sale in India from the official Nokia Store last week. Now the Lumia 625 is available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India. The Lumia 625 was unveiled last month and packs a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) LCD display, which is the largest screen on a Lumia phone till date. Nokia Pro Camera that is present in the Lumia 1020 is now available for the Lumia 925.

Nokia Windows RT tablet images surface, expected to launch in September

We had already heard lot of rumors about Nokia’s Windows RT tablet. Earlier this month there were rumors about Nokia launching their first Windows RT tablet at an event in New York scheduled for September 26th. Back in June, a mysterious Nokia device codenamed RX-114, running on Windows, with the Adreno 330 GPU surfaced. The Adreno 330 reference in the developer page hinted at Snapdragon 800 chipset, which has been officially confirmed to support Windows RT 8.1. Nokia Lumia Amber update starts for Windows Phone 8 devices

Nokia has announced that they have started rolling out the most expected Amber update for their Lumia devices running on Windows Phone 8. This would bring lot of new features including improved camera, Nokia Smart Camera, Nokia Glance Screen with double-tap to unlock, FM Radio, Flip to silence and lots more new features. Nokia Lumia 1020 Unboxing, AT&T Unlocked Version

The Nokia Lumia 1020 just arrived at FoneArena today and guess what, we managed to get hold of a unlocked unit from a US retailer. The device is currently exclusive sold only on AT&T in USA and Nokia is yet to launch the SIM-free/unlocked version in USA or any other market but how can you get one ? Read on to find out. This is indeed the Lumia 1020 for AT&T with the carrier branding but the good thing is it can accept any GSM SIM card, be it T-Mobile, Airtel or Vodafone. This supports LTE on AT&T but would work over 3G, HSPA in many countries including India. Nokia Lumia 1020 Yellow & Black headed to O2 UK in September, 64GB variant might be coming too

O2 UK have updated their coming soon page to show they’ll be stocking the Nokia Lumia 1020 in Yellow from next month. The Lumia 1020 will also be available in Black from O2 and will run on their 4G network, which launches on August 29.Another piece of related news is that O2 UK might be carrying a 64GB version of the Lumia 1020 too in addition to the usual 32GB which is currently on sale in the US.

Nokia India has announced Nokia Lumia Smart Buy Back offers on purchase of Lumia 620 and Lumia 520 smartphones. Samsung launched a similar Smart upgrade offer for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S4 and Sony introduced Xperia Xchange offer. In the Nokia Lumia Smart Buy Back offer users get Rs. 6000 discount on Lumia 620 and Rs. 4000 discount on Lumia 520, in exchange for old smartphones.
