HTC has announced that it will release Android Marshmallow update for unlocked One M8. HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi revealed that same via his official Twitter account.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 just arrived at FoneArena today and guess what, we managed to get hold of a unlocked unit from a US retailer. The device is currently exclusive sold only on AT&T in USA and Nokia is yet to launch the SIM-free/unlocked version in USA or any other market but how can you get one ? Read on to find out. This is indeed the Lumia 1020 for AT&T with the carrier branding but the good thing is it can accept any GSM SIM card, be it T-Mobile, Airtel or Vodafone. This supports LTE on AT&T but would work over 3G, HSPA in many countries including India. The device has evolved from the 808 PureView which was running on Symbian and subsequently the Lumia 920 which was one of the first Windows phones with a PureView camera. In a surprising move, Google has announced a Pure Google Android version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, available unlocked, with Nexus-like updates for 649$ in the United states. This comes as a surprise because this is not a completely new nexus device, like the rumoured Motorola X Phone, but just another Samsung Galaxy S4, with pure Google at heart. Unlocked from carriers and sporting an unlocked bootloader, this device would be the device to get if you are not willing to agree to Touchwiz or all of its features.
When Apple launched the Apple iPhone 4S last month , it also announced it’s plans to sell factory unlocked versions in November which could be purchased without the need for a contract. Today , the Apple Store in the US is taking orders for the Unlocked iPhone 4S which starts at US$ 649 for the 16GB , $749 for the 32GB and $849 for the 64GB. As we told you yesterday about the Apple iPhone 4 Unlocked arriving across all the Apple stores in the USA. The unlocked iPhone 4 is finally available for purchase at the online Apple store in USA. Since the launch of the phone in June 2010, the unlocked iPhone 4 was not available in any of the Apple stores in US officially and customers had to purchase it along with a carrier data plans offered by AT&T and Verizon. Google has just officially launched the first Android 2.3 phone , the Nexus S and the price for the unlocked handset without a contract is out.
The Nexus S will be available unlocked at all BestBuy outlets in USA for just 529 USD starting from Dec 16 , 2010 which is barely a week from now .
