HTC One S gets Priced at Rs.33000 on TheMobileStore, June 8th release date

The HTC One S which is the younger sibling of the HTC One X might eventually launch India. The Qualcomm powered Android phone has got priced at Rs.33000 on TheMobileStore as spotted by folks at InstallorNot.I personally prefer the One S over the One X and I would call the One S the iPhone of the Android world. The handset has got a release date of 8th June on the retailer’s website.

HTC One V Review

No it is not fair to call HTC One V, a sibling of HTC One X. Look wise they are very different. One look at the picture of the phone (see pics) and you’ll agree – HTC One V belongs more to the HTC Hero clan. HTC : Tablet line up will not be updated to Android 4.0

HTC has updated its upgrade path FAQ page to announce that none of the tablets in its line up will be getting the awaited Android 4.0 update. This includes the Flyer , HTC EVO View 4G for Sprint and the Jetstream on AT&T.

HTC announces Android 4.0 update schedule


HTC has finally announced the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update schedule. HTC confirmed the list of devices that would get the ICS update back in November and added more devices to the upgrade list later. They also announced that Sensation devices would be the first to get the ICS update in March and then started rolling out the update and for HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE in March. HTC already planning Tizen devices according to Digitimes

You might have seen the Tizen Developer device  which is a Samsung phone running on the Tizen platform. Tizen is the joint venture between Intel and Samsung and the Operating System is expected to be ready this June with devices running on the Tizen OS expected to hit the market in the 2nd half of 2012. Now according to a report from Digitimes , HTC is already working on a Tizen device and might be released later this year. HTC Desire C is now on pre-order in UK from online retailer Clove. HTC announced the Desire C, an affordable smartphone running Android 4.0 yesterday after it was leaked recently. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x480 pixels) display and is powered by 600 MHz processor. It has 5MP camera and comes with 25GB free Dropbox storage for 2 years. HTC has officially announced the Desire C after it was leaked recently. The HTC Desire C has a 3.5-inch HVGA display and is powered by 600 MHz processor. It has 5MP camera, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has Beats audio support. HTC Desire C press shots and specifications has surfaced one that Vodafone Portugal posted accidentally before the official announcement. According to the press images that GSMArena managed to grab from the site, the phone would feature a 3.5-inch ( 320×480 pixels) display and 600MHz processor. Nokia launches patent suit against HTC, RIM and Viewsonic

In the latest twist in the never ending saga that is mobile patent lawsuits, Nokia has today filed suit against HTC, RIM and Viewsonic alleging that their products infringe a number of Nokia patents. The claims were filed in United States and Germany, and includes complaints to the US International Trade Commission (ITC). Nokia has alleged that up to 45 patents were infringed upon. Nokia is no stranger to patent disputes, launching a similar claim against Apple a couple of years ago. The legal challenge, which resulted in a counterclaim by Apple, was settled outside the court with the house that Steve build settling an one-off payment while agreeing a cross licensing deal. HTC is also currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Apple over alleged infringements over unlicensed patents.

HTC One X now getting 1.28.720.10 OTA update in India

Today when I was playing around with the HTC One X , an OTA update popped up on the screen. This is the 1.28.720.10 update which was rolled out in Europe recently. This update is expected to fix the battery life woes of the Quad Core phone which is by far the best Android device money can buy at this point of time. HTC One S Unboxing

Here is quick unboxing of the HTC One S which went on sale in Europe recently. It is expected to come to India at a later date. The HTC One S is a Dual Core phone and was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year  and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor an runs on the latest version Android Ice Cream Sandwich. We managed to get a UK unit of the device for unboxing for you guys , and the box does not very interesting. Check out the video below to see whats inside the box.
