HTC has updated its upgrade path FAQ page to announce that none of the tablets in its line up will be getting the awaited Android 4.0 update. This includes the Flyer , HTC EVO View 4G for Sprint and the Jetstream on AT&T.

When HTC launched the 3G+WiFi of it’s 7 inch Android tablet in India for Rs.39890 in June this year , we were immensely disappointed about the price tag. It was an impressive tablet with decent battery life. Now if you gave the Flyer a pass for the same reason, good news for you. The price of the tablet has been cut by almost 50%. The HTC Flyer is one of the best built 7″ tablets in the market right now with the biggest caveat being that it runs the phone centric Android 2.2 with Sense UI. If you’ve been waiting for the tablet optimized Honeycomb OS on your Flyer , you’ll be pleased to know that the first build of the Honeycomb OS for the Flyer has just leaked out.
HTC India hinted that they will be launching the Flyer soon in India during the Sensation launch and now they have finally announced that it’s Android Tablet with HTC Sense is available in India. FlipKart has listed the HTC Flyer Android Tablet at Rs.37999 with an Estimated release date of 4th week of June. We wonder if the price mentioned is real or there is a mistake. We wonder how HTC is expecting to sell a WiFi Android tablet for such a price tag especially when a iPad 2 3G retails for a similar price.On looking at the specs , looks like the the model listed is a 32GB WiFi only model. The HTC Flyer will be available for purchase from Best Buy starting from May 22nd. Best Buy will be exclusively launching the Wi-Fi only version of the tablet in the US.

HTC will be launching the HTC Flyer next month officially in UK, USA and some other major countries. We just told you that it will also get Android 3.0, which means more features and fun. Now AsiaOne is reporting that HTC Flyer will be available in Malaysia next month, and the tablet is going for RM2,499 which is almost around $829 USD. HTC is one of the major phone companies taking part in the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2011 to be held in Barcelona from 14th to 17th February. The company’s Facebook page states that they are about to announce something big on 14th February.
