Xiaomi just sent out invites for the launch of a new series on November 2nd. The company has also tweeted from its Redmi India handle with “Your best self is within you!” and #YourBestSelfie hashtag so it will likely be the top-end version of the Redmi Note 5A with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that was introduced back in August.
Xiaomi smartphone with codename MET7/MEE7 showed up on TENAA yesterday showing the design of the phone with a full-screen 18:9 display, unibody metal design, camera bump and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Now the smartphone, which is expected to be Redmi Note 5 has been certified revealing complete specifications of the phone. It doesn’t reveal the processor, but it is rumored to be Snapdragon 630.
Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 5A back in August this year. Now a new smartphone with codename MET7 has been listed on TENAA, which is expected to be Redmi Note 5. This shows the phone’s full-screen 18:9 display, unibody metal design, camera bump and a fingerprint sensor on the back. It doesn’t show dual rear cameras as rumored earlier, but there could be a Redmi Note 5 Pro or Plus version.
Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 smartphone in India last month f or Rs. 14999. We already brought you the review of the phone, here we have the battery life test results of the phone. It packs a 3080mAh (typical) / 3000mAh built-in battery, but lacks support for fast charging. Xiaomi just announced Redmi 5A, its latest budget 4G smartphone in the Redmi series and the successor of last year’s Redmi 4A in China without much changes. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor and runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 (Nougat). After Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai and Hyderabad, Xiaomi has opened its first Mi Home Store in Mumbai, which is located at Phoenix Market City Mall. The store was inaugurated by founders of Poorvika Mobile. This is the Eighth Mi Home Store in the country after after three Stores in Bengaluru, one in Gurugram, Noida, Chennai and Hyderabad. As it had promised back in May, it now has stores in major Indian cities.

When the Mi MIX launched, a bezel-less smartphone was essentially a pipe dream. Sure, Sharp had announced a number of them over the years but a product that remained stuck in Japan doesn’t really count, does it? So, when out of the blue, Xiaomi of all brands introduced a modern, uncompromised smartphone that simply broke all design conventions, it quickly became the talk of the town.
In the year that has followed, bezel less and 18:9 are terms that almost every major smartphone manufacturer has latched on to. Now that the gimmick isn’t new or unique, the Mi MIX 2 has to stand up on its own merits. We’ve spent a bit of time with the new hardware. It has a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display with ultra narrow bezels that has a 12% smaller chin compared to the predecessor. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform with 6GB of RAM, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and a 5-megapixel camera on the front on the right bottom that also supports face recognition. Xiaomi last week announced that the Mi MIX 2 smartphone with bezel-less screen will launch in India on October 10th at an event in Delhi. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will be exclusively available with them. The Mi A1 that was launched last month is also exclusively available on Flipkart online, apart from the mi.com as well as Mi Home stores and other offline retailers. Xiaomi has launched Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2, its latest speaker in India. It has compact body that encloses dual speaker unit offering higher fidelity sound and weighs just 237 grams. It has matte aluminum frame, a soft white face, and chamfered edges. It also has AUX in port that connect other devices that doesn’t have Bluetooth support.
