Huawei has announced Mate S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mate series at the IFA, as expected. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED  display, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC based on big.LITTLE configuration and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. It has a force touch display that perceives different levels of pressure on the screen, allowing the user to complete different actions such as zooming in to a photo or launching an app by applying pressure. The smartphone running on Android has a 6-inch HD display, is powered by a 10-core MediaTek processor (Helio X20 likely) and has 4GB of RAM. It has a 21-megapixel rear camera. Oppo has launched Oppo R7 Lite and Oppo R7 Plus, new smartphones in the R series today in India. The Oppo R7 Lite has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, while the Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display. All these share similar specifications that includes a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Z series run Android Lollipop 5.1 and the M series run Windows 10 Mobile. The Liquid Z330 and M330 have 4G support, while the Z320 and the M320 have 3G connectivity. It has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display at QXGA resolution, is powered by a Octa-Core Exynos SoCs and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 5.6mm thick, making it the world’s thinnest tablet currently. OnePlus has started rolling out Oxygen OS v2.0.2 OTA update for the OnePlus 2 smartphone. This includes several improvements and fixes, including improvements for fingerprint recognition, fixes for speaker bug and front-facing camera bug. It got Oxygen OS 2.0.1 update with patches for Stagefright security exploit, battery performance improvements, SIM card import/export fixes and more.
