Google has for the most part kept its distance from China, a market that has perhaps one of the largest user base of Android running devices. Government censorship and strict crackdowns mean that Google had to opt out from providing the Play Store and accompanying services in the country. The Moto 360 from Motorola has finally gotten an upgrade and it was just launched at the pre-IFA event by Motorola’s parent company in Berlin. The 2nd gen Moto 360 might look exactly the same as its predecessor but it brings changes in the form of choices and customization. There are two different dial sizes, a women’s edition, a sports edition and a bigger battery for the one with the larger dial. More about the new 360 in this video –
We knew that Motorola was working on the next generation Moto 360 smartwatch that is codenamed as Smelt. Now, two models of the Moto 360 have been spotted at Anatel that is the Brazil’s federal telecom regulator which is equivalent of the FCC in the US.
As announced at the end of last month, Motorola has launched the Moto Maker for Moto 360 smartwatch. Moto Maker is a custom hardware design platform that lets people design look of their own smartwatch.
