Amazon has announced the expansion of its ultra-fast 10-minute delivery service, Amazon Now, to include parts of Mumbai. This service, which was previously available in select areas of Bengaluru and Delhi, allows customers to purchase thousands of everyday essentials for delivery within minutes.
To support this expansion, Amazon has established over 100 micro-fulfillment centers across the three cities, with plans to open hundreds more by the end of the year. These compact, technology-enabled facilities are strategically located near residential areas to facilitate rapid deliveries. The centers use advanced inventory systems to optimize product placement based on hyperlocal demand, which is intended to maximize speed and efficiency.
The service offers a range of daily essentials, including groceries, personal care items, beauty products, electronic accessories, and pet supplies. Amazon Now is designed to combine a wide selection of products from various sellers with the company’s delivery network.
Amazon has stated that it plans to continue expanding the service to more neighborhoods in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, with launches in other cities anticipated in the coming months. Customers can check for service availability in their area by looking for the “10 mins” icon on the Amazon.in app.
