LG Optimus F5 Photo Gallery

LG Showcased the new Optimus F5 here today at MWC in Barcelona, Spain. The Optimus F5 was announced last week. It has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) with QSlide, Live Zooming, QuickMemo, QTranslator, Video Wiz, Safety Care and more features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Hands On

In a bid to hit each and every size possible out there, Samsung today announced the Galaxy Note 8.0 which fills one of the last remaining size based gaps in their line up. Predictably, the device is a blown up Galaxy Note with a 8 inch display.

The device which is positioned as a tablet does have phone capabilities also built in. A stylus slides in to the back of the tablet and provides the same pen based functions and apps as previously seen on the Note 2. Continue reading “Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Hands On”

Lenovo A3000 Photo Gallery

Alongside the Lenovo S6000, the company also announced a smaller 7 inch tablet called the A3000. The display is slightly lower resolution at 1024 x 600 pixels but is of the IPS variety with pretty good viewing angles. The contrast ratio, color quality and brightness are definitely quite good.


The tablet isn’t the slimmest we’ve seen with a 11mm profile but the weight is manageable at just under 340grams. The A3000 easily slips into a jacket pocket.  Continue reading “Lenovo A3000 Photo Gallery”

HP Slate 7 Photo Gallery

Earlier today, HP unveiled it’s first Android tablet, the Slate7! We’ve spotted HP’s budget entry into the Android world tonight at the Pepcom event and switched on the cameras. We’ve managed to get our hands on the red version and were immediately surprised by the good first impression. The biggest advantage of the Slate7? Its price! Starting at just USD 169, HP is ready to enter an already crowded market. So, what’s the Slate7 all about?

Lenovo S6000 Photo Gallery

In an event ahead of the Mobile World Congress, Lenovo annouced three new tablets. The highest end of those is the S6000 which sports a 10.1 inch screen. The screen is of the IPS variety and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

Google Now to be updated with widget support pretty soon

Google Now is one of the main features which debuted with Android 4.1, and is a direct competitor to iOS’s Siri. Google has been concentrating on this piece of software from a long time and has been updating it with more cards and features and just recently Google updated their support page which showed glimpses of Google Now widgets.
