Well Apple have now announced the updated version of the Apple iPhone 3G called the iPhone 3G S, the “S” stands for speed.
The handset looks almost identical to the previous model however in terms of usage, it’s nearly four times faster than before. The handset supports HSDPA upto 7.2Mbps.

The Nokia N97 is the second phone to run on the S60th Edition OS. Its also the 2nd phone from Nokia to run on this platform. I was lucky to get iPhone 3.0 running on a first gen iPhone. Here are some screen shots and camera samples of the phone running 3.0. Cut Copy Paste has finally appeared.Some users are also reporting better battery life on the 3.0 firmware. One cool feature is Shake to Undo Redo typing . There are close to 100 pictures in this gallery and I have tried to show most of the updates present in the new firmware. If I have missed anything let me know !

Nokia E72 which got leaked yesterday has now been announced by Nokia. The main improvements over the E71 include a sexier sleekier design with more rounded corners. A 5 Mega Pixel Camera with LED Flash is a huge upgrade ! The Optical Navikey which makes scrolling easier is certainly something we look forward too
Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has been announced . The phone is a cheaper version fo the Nokia 5800 and looks like the much rumored 5900 Its a Mass market music phone with no physical keys ! Wow ! There’s a 3.2 MP camera too and 4GB memory card in the box due to the Finnish’s handset maker’s generosity.

The iPhone 3.0 Software is releasing on June 17th. Thats not too far but the firmware is already out on the interwebs. This guide is meant only for folks who are comfortable hacking their iphones.
We tested this guide on a iPhone 2G which was running version 2.1 firmware. Now its running version 3.0 and still remains unlocked. We had some issues with the upgrade and the phone got bricked a couple of times.

At the Nokia N97 Event we got a chance to test the iPhone 3G along with the N97.Since the N97 is seen as a iPhone Killer or even iPhone 3G killer from Nokia (5800 achieved great success as an iPhone killer atleast in the music phone market ) . The situation is interesting now because both iPhone 3G and N97 are going to selling in the same price band of Rs.30000-35000.($600 approx for unlocked phones).

The aging E90 Communicator has just received a firmware update from Nokia after almost Eight months and is now at v. 400.34.93 up from v. 300.34.84 which it received in October 2008.
