World’s first Separable Phone from Docomo – Hands On Video

During MWC 2010 , NTT Docomo from Japan had something interesting to offer to visitors. We spotted the world’s first separable phone.

Imagine being able to use one portion of your phone as controller for games. This phone takes multitasking to the ultimate level. You can take notes and check schedules on the touchscreen unit while making phone calls with the keypad unit.

At MWC 2010 we bumped into folks behind Rightware Kanzi – a cross platform 3D UI platform. Here is a video of the UI in action on a Nokia N900 running on the Maemo platform.  There is even gesture detection using the front video calling camera . At the Samsung Booth at MWC 2010, we managed to get a short video overview of the Samsung TouchWiz  3.0 UI running on the first Bada phone – Samsung Wave. MWC 2010 : Vodafone announces ultra cheap phones for India and emerging markets

While we were waiting for Nokia to announce the 500 rupee handset , looks like Vodafone jumped ahead in the race by unveiling the Vodafone 150 , it’s cheapest phone till date. The Vodafone 150 and Vodafone 250 are launching in India and Africa in the coming weeks .

LG Mobiles announces John Abraham , Genelia DSouza and Abhay Deol as Brand Ambassadors

LG mobiles announced today that it has appointed bollywood actors and youth icons – John Abraham , Genelia DSouza and Abhay Deol as Brand Ambassadors. This is the first time LG is having a celebrity endorse their brand in India. LG India want to reposition LG Mobiles as a youthful brand and hence this announcement. LG hopes to connect with consumers.

MWC 2010 : Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Launch Event Summary + Photos , Video

For the last couple of years, we have been seeing Google and Apple getting head to head in the hot mobile device market. Critics were writing off Microsoft in the mobile operating systems space. Just when people were losing hope, Microsoft bangs in the announcement of the Windows Phone 7 at the Mobile World Congress 2010 here in Barcelona, Spain. Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer unveiled the Windows Phone 7 with his trademark “i-dont-need-mic” voice. FoneArena brings you pictures and videos from the press conference.

Video : Motorola MOTOROI – 3.7 inch touchscreen display , T-DMB TV receiver

The MOTOROI is Moto’s first Android 2.0 offering for the Korean market and looks like Koreans would love entertainment on the go with the 3.7 inch display on the MOTOROI which also packs a TV receiver.  Video playback on the screen was a treat to watch.  Motorola is working really closely with Google and there is a lot of customization on Motorola’s android handsets as a result of that.  Video after the jump

Motorola Backflip Live Pictures from MWC 2010

Motorola launched the Moto Backflip at CES last month.  It’s a Android phone with a really unique form factor. The reverse flip design means that you even can use the phone as your bedside alarm clock . The homescreen is pictured below and shows the time ,  date and weather.

Samsung Super AMOLED playing video , proof of awesome display technology

We managed to play some video on the Samsung Wave with the new Super AMOLED Display and we have to admit that it really looked awesome. The colors are reproduced very well and it’s expected to perform well under direct sunlight. It did pretty well under the lights in the Samsung booth. Video after the jump.
