BlackBerry Playbook finally getting Native Email , Calendar and Contacts this Summer

RIM just officially announced that the PlayBook is finally getting Native Email. This was one of the most criticized features of the device and RIM was blamed for ignoring this feature at the time of launch 2 weeks ago. As expected RIM gave an answer today at Blackberry World that the device is getting an update this summer which will bring native email , calendar and contacts. As of now , you need to use Blackberry Bridge and connect to a Blackberry handset via Bluetooth to get access to email on the device. Bing to be Default Search Engine on BlackBerry devices

Wow , what a surprise , at the BlackBerry World keynote today. Joining RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis was Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to announce a strategic partnership with RIM. Bing will be the Default Search Engine on all Blackberry Devices. We also saw a mention of Bing Maps which confirms that Bing will also be integrated deeply into the BlackBerry OS. Microsoft showed a video promo of the integration which we will be uploading soon.  We also saw a demo of Bing Search on a Torch 9800 and it looks inspired by the Metro UI by Windows Phone 7

Angry Birds for Blackberry Playbook Coming this Summer


Today at the Blackberry World RIM announced that the famous Angry Birds game is releasing for the Blackberry Playbook this summer.  Birds is a physics based game where you need to attack the pigs using the different kinds of birds. RIM announces today that the QNX version of Angry Birds is getting ready and will be available in BlackBerry App World  for download this summer. AT&T and Samsung to announce something special on May 5th, Nexus S or Galaxy S II?

Google Nexus S was announced by Google and Samsung last year which is successor to Nexus One and also the first ever Gingerbread device. It’s currently available in almost every major country and in USA, T-Mobile and Sprint is offering it. Sprint got the 4G version whereas the one on T-Mobile is just normal one. We heard back in February that AT&T will be launching it soon but no sign of it so far. But now it looks like AT&T and Samsung are getting ready to announce it. Today, BlackBerry officially announced their new flagship device which is known as BlackBerry Bold 9900. The device looks just amazing and beautiful, and this device will attract a lot of BlackBerry owners, and also people who left BlackBerry for other operating systems. BlackBerry Bold 9900 Hands On – Video

Here is a nice 6 minute video of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 which was launched today at BlackBerry World . We take a look at the hardware ,  UI and other interesting aspects of the latest Blackberry device. This handset is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on OS7. I personally prefer this form-factor compared to the Torch which has a slider keyboard.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 was announced just today at BlackBerry World and here are some hands-on photos of the device live from Orlando. We got to play with the device and it looked pretty nice in the hands. The form factor looks impressive with the combination of a touchscreen and the usual QWERTY keypad.
