Samsung Galaxy S Advance surfaces with 4-inch display and dual-core processor
Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070, an upcoming Android phone has surfaced in Philippines. It looks like smaller version of Samsung Galaxy S II with 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It has curved design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus but the specs are similar to Galaxy R that was announced last year. It runs on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) with enhanced TouchWiz UI, which should be upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). MTNL Mumbai upgrades minimum broadband speeds to 512 Kbps, launches new plans
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has upgraded the minimum broadband speeds to 512 Kbps for all their customers in Mumbai. According to this, all the MTNL broadband customers in Mumbai with download speed less then 512 Kbps will automatically be upgraded to 512 Kbps download speed without any additional charges. Nokia Asha 300 is finally available in India from online retailer Flipkart. Nokia announced the Series 40 device at the Nokia World 2011 last year and launched in India in December. It is powered by a 1 Ghz processor and has 3G capability. It has 2.4-inch (320 x 240 pixels) resistive touch display. It has 5MP camera with video recording at 25 fps and has 32GB expandable memory. It also comes with Nokia Music Unlimited, DRM free Music service with 3 months free subscription. It is 12.7mm thick and weighs 85g. Samsung profit up 17% in Q4 2011
Samsung has reported 17% increase in net profit due to increase smartphone sales in Q4 2011. They reported a net profit of 4 trillion won ($3.5 billion) in the fourth quarter of 2011 and 47.3 trillion won in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2011. Yahoo kills some of their mobile apps
Yahoo has announced that they would no longer support some of their mobile apps for iPad, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, citing pace of change in the mobile space. They said that they have to keep moving, to keep innovating, and to continuously measure and scrutinize what’s working and what isn’t. Some of their latest apps Livestand for iPad, Hub for Android, Play for Android and their popular Yahoo! Mail, Messenger, Sportacular and Flickr would remain. HTC Sense 4.0 looks like a really tasty treat, brings guest mode, 50GB Dropbox & other tweaks
HTC was the first manufacturer to take up Android, and it is still the number 1 in the most beautiful user interfaces on top of stock Android. Though I am not a big fan of any UI other than stock Android, Sense UI from HTC is the best and easiest user interface a consumer can get. The good looking widgets, transitions, customization options are simply unmatched by any other company. Now with the release of Android 4.0 HTC is coming up with a new version of Sense UI, Sense 4.0 for it’s Ice Cream Sandwich devices.

Grand Theft Auto III v1.3 update brings support for Asus Transformer Prime, new features
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) III for Android has been updated to version 1.3 that brings new features such as support for Asus Transformer Prime and Medion LifeTab tablets.
