LG Electronics has announced that it will debut its latest flagship display, the LG Micro RGB evo (model MRGB95), at the upcoming CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The new model, a CES 2026 Innovation Awards winner, utilizes Micro RGB technology to mark a technical progression from standard MiniLED displays.
Processing and Display Technology
The LG Micro RGB evo features the company’s smallest individual RGB LEDs to date. According to LG, the display employs OLED-level precision to control individual RGB LED backlights, aiming to leverage technical developments from their OLED manufacturing for the RGB category.
Powering the device is the newly upgraded α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, built on a Dual AI Engine. This processor introduces “Dual Super Upscaling,” a function that simultaneously processes two distinct types of AI upscaling. This technology is designed to enhance image sharpness while maintaining a natural balance for improved clarity.
Color Reproduction and Contrast
The processing capabilities of the Alpha 11 chip enable a feature LG calls RGB Primary Color Ultra. This technology focuses on expanding the color spectrum. The display has received certification from Intertek for 100 percent color gamut coverage in BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB standards, targeting accuracy suitable for digital editing and HDR cinema.
To manage contrast, the TV utilizes Micro Dimming Ultra. This system orchestrates over one thousand dimming zones to refine brightness and color control, aiming to reveal specific details in both dark and bright scenes.
Software and User Interface
The MRGB95 runs on LG’s webOS platform, which emphasizes personalization through several AI-driven features:
- Voice ID: Recognizes individual user voices.
- AI Picture/Sound Wizard: Adjusts settings based on content and preference.
- My Page: A tailored home screen for individual users.
Navigation and content discovery are supported by an upgraded suite of tools, including an AI Concierge, AI Chatbot, and AI Search.
Availability and Showcase
The LG Micro RGB evo will be available in three screen sizes: 100-inch, 86-inch, and 75-inch.
LG will showcase the MRGB95 and other home entertainment innovations at Booth #15004 in the Las Vegas Convention Center during CES 2026, running from January 6 to January 9.
