realme 16 Pro Series to get new ‘Urban Wild’ design

After teasers, realme has announced renewed collaboration with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa for the upcoming realme 16 Pro Series. Following previous partnerships on the realme X, X2 Pro, and GT series, this latest collaboration introduces a new aesthetic concept termed “Urban Wild Design.”

Design Philosophy and Materials

The design framework for the 16 Pro Series focuses on blending natural textures with modern urban aesthetics. According to the company, the “Urban Wild” concept aims to integrate tactile elements reminiscent of nature—such as wheat fields or river stones—into the device’s construction.

A key feature of this series is the introduction of a bio-based organic silicone material. Manufactured from renewable plant-based straw, this material is designed to offer a soft texture while maintaining durability. realme states that the material provides resistance against aging, dirt, bacteria, and abrasion.

The device features an “All-Nature Curve” design, which creates a continuous line from the back panel to the display. Despite these design updates, the handset maintains a profile thickness of 8.49mm.

“Master Design” Color Variants

The realme 16 Pro Series will be available in four specific colorways, utilizing multi-dimensional color tuning. The availability of these colors varies by model:

  • Master Gold: Inspired by the texture of wheat, this option will be available on both the realme 16 Pro+ and the realme 16 Pro.

  • Master Grey: Modeled after river-polished pebbles, this color is exclusive to the realme 16 Pro+.

  • Camellia Pink: Drawing cues from Indian festive flowers, this option is also exclusive to the realme 16 Pro+.

  • Orchid Purple: Inspired by the vibrancy of Indian festivities, this color is exclusive to the realme 16 Pro.
Camera Module and Build Quality

The rear of the device highlights a “Metal Mirror Camera Deco.” This module utilizes Luxury PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) craftsmanship to achieve a high-gloss mirror finish. Additionally, a nanoscale metal coating is applied to enhance scratch resistance.

The camera setup is housed within a “Volcanic Camera Deco” design that integrates with the back panel and is paired with a metallic mid-frame, aiming for a balance between the device’s textured back and its structural components.

Availability

While the inclusion of LumaColor IMAGE and ‘Urban Wild’ Design on the realme 16 Pro Series has been confirmed, the company has not yet released a specific launch date, but it is expected in early January 2026.
