Siri encryption broken down , Android port still not likely

Developers at iPhone development house Applidium have done a thorough investigation into the security encryption behind Siri and have worked out a way to get it running on non – iPhone devices as well ! Now before you jump to conclusions, it is important to note that a valid iPhone 4S identification string is needed to authenticate which might work out for a few test situations but would likely result in a ban if thousands of requests were sent.

RIM’s first BBX phone BlackBerry London expected in Q3 2012

RIM’s first BBX smartphone might launch in Q3 2012 dubbed as BlackBerry London. The Verge got hold of a dummy device and the BGR that has confirmed from their source that it is expected in Q3 2012. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE coming to AT&T on November 20 for $479.99

AT&T has announced their second LTE tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 for their customers. They would also launch the 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) in 6 new markets (Charlotte, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, and San Juan, Puerto Rico) on November 20. HTC to unveil Quad-Core Tegra 3 Android Tablet at MWC 2012

HTC to unveil their first Quad-Core Tegra 3 Android tablet at MWC 2012, according to a Chinese Newspaper report. Last week Nvidia unveiled the world’s first Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor for tablets and mobile phones. The new Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU is said to offer PC-class performance levels, better battery life and better mobile experiences (Better web experience, faster applications and multitasking) in tablets and mobile phones. Nokia 700 goes on sale in India


The Nokia 700 is now available for purchase in India from the online retailer Flipkart. Nokia launched the Nokia 600, 700 and 701 in India this September and Nokia 701 is already available in the market. Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 Windows Phone devices coming in mid-December to India

Nokia and Microsoft has unveiled the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, Nokia’s first Window Phone devices in India. Both the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 were unveiled at the Nokia World 2011 in London. The Nokia Lumia 800 has a unibody design and comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack AMOLED display. The Nokia Lumia 700 comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack TFT display. Both these devices are powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion CPU and runs on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) OS. Nokia Asha Phones

Back at Nokia World last month , the company launched the Asha range of phones which means hope in Hindi. The company is calling it an ‘aspirational’ range of phones for the next billion. 4 new phones were launched under this banner – 200 , 201 , 300 and 303 . 3 of these phones will be shipping in 2011 and 1 in early next year. Looks like Nokia is trying to make a comeback in the low-end category which is now dominated by the likes of Micromax, Karbonn, Spice and similar vendors.

Aircel launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th

Aircel has now announced a date for it’s iPhone 4S launch. The operator just shared on it’s Facebook page that it is launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th. Yesterday Aircel and Airtel announced they are launching the iPhone 4S in India soon.

We guess Aircel (and Airtel) might announce their pricing ( and weird money back plans ) on the 25th. We don’t have any details about the pricing but should have some info soon. The iPhone 4S packs a Dual Core CPU , 8MP Camera with Full HD video recording and the interesting virtual assistant Siri. Looks wise its almost same as the previous iPhone – the iPhone 4. The device runs on iOS 5 which is the latest operating system for iPhone , iPad and iPod touch.

Nano SIM card coming soon !

While the whole mobile industry was taken surprise when the microSIM card made it’s way onto the Apple iPad and the iPhone 4. Fast forward 2011 , we have the world’s largest handset maker going with a microSIM slot in it’s latest smartphones including the Nokia ,N9, Lumia 800 and Lumia 710. Motorola used a similar SIM card slot in the DROID RAZR. Now a German company Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has come up with the World’s first Nano SIM card which is significantly smaller than even a microSIM card.The main reason handset makers go with a microSIM card is to reduce the thickness of the device. Adobe Flash Player v11.1 and AIR 3.1 for Android brings performance improvements and bug fixes

Adobe Flash Player for Android has been updated to version 11.1.102.59 and the Adobe AIR gets updated to version 3.1.0.488 that brings performance improvements and bug fixes related to security and stability. Adobe announced earlier this week that they would stop the Flash Player development for the mobile phones and tablets. This might be the last update for the Android with the improvements and security bug fixes. The earlier versions of the Flash Player and AIR  brought 3D game support, premium video content with protection and more. World’s First Angry Birds Store opens in Finland at 11:11 AM on 11.11.11

Rovio  , the company behind the hugely popular Angry Birds game series has opened the World’s First Angry Birds Store in Helsinki, Finland. Rovio is a Finnish company and it makes sense for them to open the store in their home turf. The store features Angry Birds accessories including birds and pigs found in the game and also life-size slingshots that makes interesting noises found in the actual game itself. You can also buy shirts, plush toys, bags. The store is located within a 20,000 square meter megastore called Verkkokauppa.com in Helsinki, Finland. The doors of the store were opened at 11:11 AM yesterday where we had the fancy 11.11.11 date.

Unlocked Apple iPhone 4S now shipping from Apple Store in the US

When Apple launched the Apple iPhone 4S last month , it also announced it’s plans to sell factory unlocked versions in November which could be purchased without the need for a contract. Today , the Apple Store in the US is taking orders for the Unlocked iPhone 4S which starts at US$ 649 for the 16GB , $749 for the 32GB and $849 for the 64GB. Just a reminder that most states in the US charge a sales tax so the final price at the time of check out might be  slightly higher. Airtel launching iPhone 4S in India soon

Like Aircel , Airtel India has also announced on it’s Facebook page about it’s plans to launch the Apple iPhone 4S in India soon. As of now only Airtel and Aircel are the official operators authorized by Apple to sell the iPhone 4 in India. So this news is not very surprising. But then for those of you who have been waiting for the iPhone 4S to launch in India, good news ! We are not sure if Apple will get the pricing right though !
