Nokia Lumia 520 launched in India, available early April


Nokia has launched the Lumia 520 in India at an event in Delhi, along with the Lumia 720. It was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in 2013 in Barcelona last month, and appeared on the Nokia India Shop last week. It comes with a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display with 2D hardened glass. The display is super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove use. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS. It has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with 720p HD video recording. It is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 124 grams.


Other features include a 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory, up to 64GB expandable memory with microSD. The connectiviy features include, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS / aGPS. It packs a 1430mAh battery that offers up to 9.6 hours talk time and up to 360 hours standby. It would come pre-loaded with Big Flix app that would offer 3 months of free movie streaming.

The Nokia Lumia 520 comes in Yellow, Red, Cyan, White and Black colors with optional interchangeable back covers. It would go on sale in India from early April. No word on pricing for this one too, but it is expected to be priced around Rs. 10,500. It would come with 1GB of free 3G data from Reliance for 2 months.
