Idea Cellular has also reduced 3G tariffs followed by Aircel, Airtel and Vodafone. They launched 3G services in India last March and Double Data offer later that offered twice the data for select plans. Idea has reduced 3G rate up to 70% would offer on the go data rates at 3p/10 KB for pre-paid and post-paid users. Rs. 10 will now offer 30 minutes of internet surfing, HERO-25 sachet pack which will give 100 MB data with 3 days validity at just Rs. 25. LG Optimus L7 goes on sale in UK, priced at 199 GBP

 

LG Optimus L7 is now on sale in UK. Online retailer Clove is now shipping the device after it started taking pre-order earlier this week. LG announced earlier this month that it would start rolling out the Optimus L7 in major European markets starting this month. HTC already planning Tizen devices according to Digitimes

Apple might eventually allow FaceTime calls over 3G

FaceTime is one awesome feature if you work with multiple Apple devices such as the iPhone , iPad , iPod touch or Macs. You can experience video calls between these devices for free at a decent quality. The downside is that FaceTime for devices such as iPhone and iPad works only over a WiFi connection. The irony is the latest iPad supports 4G LTE networks with mind blowing speeds , yet you cannot have a FaceTime call. This might change and Apple might eventually allow FaceTime calls over 3G networks going by a screenshot in iOS 5.1.1  from a Romanian blog.

Nokia Lumia 610 now in stock at UK retailers

The low-cost Windows Phone from Nokia the Lumia 610 which was announced at MWC 2012 is now in-stock at select retailers in the UK and priced very competitively. The affordable Windows Phone is available from 145.99 GBP excluding VAT ( Rs.12620 approx / 230 USD ) only in Black colour at the moment and the Cyan version is expected to be in stock in a few days. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 gets a Price tag of Rs.19,500

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 (GT-P3100) has been priced at Rs. 19,500 and now available in India according to our friends Mahesh Telecom. It was announced in February and was unveiled in Asia in March. It is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 7-inch (1024×600) PLS TFT LCD display and has 3MP fixed focus rear-facing camera and VGA camera on the front.

Samsung Galaxy S3 lands on eBay India , priced at Rs.39999

The India launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is round the corner , May 31 being the date and Samsung has even started taking Pre-Orders for it’s biggest handset launch of the year. But Samsung has not revealed the price of it’s flagship Android device. The Galaxy S3 has landed on eBay India with a price tag of Rs.39,999 Rs.44770 and the seller says that the phone will be delivered after 1st June 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S2 was a big hit for Samsung and the company is looking to repeat history with the Galaxy S3. It might won some carrier confidence already as reports indicate over 9 million pre-orders for the device.  The device is yet to reach consumers and goes on sale in many markets on May 31st and would be interesting to see the consumer response.

Reliance to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with HFCL

 

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) according to Economic Times. Reliance Industries bought 95% stake in Infotel Broadband in June 2010 which is is the only firm to win broadband spectrum in all 22 circles in India.
