Nokia Lumia 510 gets priced at Rs.9999 on Flipkart (Updated)

Nokia Lumia 510 that was announced last week in India is priced at online retailer Flipkart and is available for purchase for Rs. 9999. It is the most affordable Windows Phone device till date, pushing the Lumia 610 to the second place. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and runs on Windows Phone 7.5 OS, which is upgradable to Windows Phone 7.8. It is powered by a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor and comes with a 5MP auto focus camera with VGA video recording at 30fps. Airtel launches Network Experience Centre in Gurgaon

Airtel has launched Network Experience Centre (NEC), first of its kind facility in India. It was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Shri Kapil Sibal and is based in Manesar (Gurgaon). It would let Airtel monitor their networks spanning across Mobile, DSL Broadband, M-Commerce, DTH, Enterprise Services and International Cables across its India and South Asia from a single location. Zync Cloud Z5 5-inch Dual SIM Phablet officially launched for Rs. 9,490

Zync has officially launched the Zync Cloud Z5 Dual SIM Android Phablet. Zync launched several tablets starting with the Z-900 in March, but this is their first Smartphone / Phablet. It went on sale online yesterday and has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and features a 8MP auto focus camera at the back and a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Samsung has announced Galaxy Premier their new Android phone in the Galaxy series. This comes with a 4.65-inch (720 x 1280 pixels)HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. ARM unveils Cortex A53 and A57 64-bit Processors for Smartphones and Tablets

ARM has announced Cortex A53 and A57 in the Cortex A50 series based on ARMv8 architecture. These energy-efficient processors with 64-bit processing technology are also fully compatible with the extensive ARM 32-bit ARMv7 ecosystem. These processors would offer better performance compared to the existing ones and would offer new features ranging from gesture control, augmented reality, mobile gaming, web 2.0 and more. HTC 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices launching in India next week

HTC has announced on the their Facebook page that they would launch the Windows Phone 8 devices in India next week.  HTC announced the 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices in September, and the phones were in coming soon list in HTC India page since then. These devices are powered by a dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 processor. Nokia would also launch their Windows Phone 8 devices, Lumia 920 and 820 in India in November. Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite Tablet now available in India for Rs. 13700


Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was announced back is August is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and 3G support with voice calling, SMS and MMS. It has a 3.2 Megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera for video calling.  It also has 1080p HD video playback at 30 frames per second. AU Optronics announces a 4.46 inch 720p display with practically no border

Earlier this fall, Motorola announced two very interesting smartphones called the RAZR M and the RAZR i. From the outside they look exactly the same, but on the inside the M model sports a dual core Qualcomm chip, whereas the i model uses an Intel Atom. Silicon aside, what makes these phones so intriguing is their displays. At 4.3 inches and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, they’re not the most advanced panels on the planet, but they have almost no border. What advantages does that bring? The RAZR M, despite having a 4.3 inch display, is practically the same size as Apple’s new 4 inch iPhone 5. Zync Z5 Dual SIM phone with 5-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 9490

Zync has entered into the smartphone segment with the Zync Cloud Z5 Dual SIM Android Smartphone / Phablet. It has a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Capacitive Touch Screen and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This would compete with the other budget 5-inch Dual SIM Smartphones such as iBall Andi 5c and the latest Micromax A110. The company launched the Z-900 their first 7-inch tablet running Android 4.0 back in March, and has launched several tablets since then. ZTE U950: For $160 you can own a quad core semi-flagship smartphone

ZTE has just announced an Android 4.0 powered smartphone called the U950. It’s got a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor under the hood, 1 GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera, and a 4.3 inch display that pushes 800 x 480 pixels. In other words, it’s an above average device. What makes it amazing is the price: $160. That’s totally out of this world when you consider that most smartphones in that price range have a single core processor and half the amount of RAM. Will the U950 ever be sold outside of China? That hasn’t been confirmed yet. All we know is that it’s going on sale in China on November 11th. Microsoft has unveiled the new Skype app for Windows Phone 8. The first Skype app for Windows Phone was launched back in February, and the app was launched in Windows Phone Marketplace in April. The new app has been completely built from the ground up for better integration with the Windows Phone 8 and would have a completely new UI.
