Supreme Court of India cancels 122 2G licenses

The Supreme Court of India has cancelled 122 2G licenses issued by the Government on after 10th Jan 2008. This cancellation affects customers of Uninor,Videocon,MTS ,Loop Telecom , Etisalat , Idea Cellular, STel and Tata Docomo in 22 circles. The court order will come into effect in 4 months and you might have to use MNP to port your number to another operator who is not affected.

HTC to introduce white Sensation with Android 4.0 in March

The Sensation was HTC’s best device last year, featuring the first asynchronous dual core processor on a smartphone. Though the device was good and had a great build quality it did not sell well against the Samsung Galaxy S 2. But this does not stop them from bringing out a white version of this new device and the best part of it is that it will come with Android 4.0 out of the box.

IDC: Mobile Phone Market Q4 2011 – Nokia, Samsung and Apple top mobile phone vendors by shipments


Nokia, Samsung and Apple are the leading Mobile vendors by shipments in Q4 2011 and for the whole 2011, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). The worldwide mobile phone market grew 6.1% year over year in the Q4 2011 with shipments of 427.4 million which is 6.1% more compared to 402.8 million units in the Q4 2010. Samsung Galaxy S3 not launching at MWC 2012


Samsung said that they will not launch the Galaxy S3 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in a statement issued to TechRadar.
