realme has extended the software update policy for its realme P3 series smartphones by an additional 1 year, and confirmed that the upcoming realme P4 and P4 Pro smartphones will get 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
The P3 series that will get the update extension include realme P3 Ultra, realme P3 Pro and realme P3. The phones were launched running Android 15, so the phones will now get Android OS updates till Android 18 and Android security updates till 2028. This is not applicable to the realme P3x model.
The company recently announced an extension of software and security updates for select realme 14 series and the realme 15 series models by an additional year.
By applying the new software policy to both upcoming and existing models, realme indicates a commitment to long-term device support that extends beyond initial hardware specifications.
