The display is bright, thanks to, up to 1500 nits full screen brightness and up to 5000 nits peak brightness, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. There is Diamond Shield protection on the front, which the company says has 37% improved drop resistance compared to its predecessor.

It has a tiny punch-hole that houses the 50-megapixel autofocus camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezels are minimal.

The V60 is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, an upgrade from 7 Gen 3 in the V30 and the V50 models. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and supports 5G SA/NSA with several bands. It runs Android 15 with FuntouchOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 4 Android updates and 6 years of security updates for the first time in a V series phone.

The phone has a power button and volume rockers on the right side. The dual SIM slots, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top, along with speaker vents. The build quality is good.

The phone has triple rear cameras that include a 50-megapixel main camera with 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 sensor, OIS and 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle camera and a 50MP 1/1.95″ IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera with f/2.65 aperture, OIS.

It can record videos at 4k resolution at up to 30 fps from the front and rear cameras. It has standard and ultra stabilization, but the resolution is down to 1080p in ultra option since it crops the content. OIS does a good job in stabilization. You can adjust the aperture manually for portrait video, but this is limited to 1080p.

The Moonlit Blue colour variant that we have is inspired by the blue night sky, said the company. This has a glossy finish on the back. It also comes in Mist Gray, and Auspicious Gold colours. The phone retains IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The phone is just 7.53mm (Gray) / 7.75mm (Blue) thick and weighs 192 grams (Gray) / 201g (Blue), even though it packs a huge, 6500mAh battery compared to 6000mAh in the predecessor.
