Samsung Galaxy S4 likely to launch in India on April 27th at around Rs.40000

The Samsung Galaxy S4 might be coming to India as soon as April 27th. The Korean smartphone giant is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S4 in several countries across the world on April 26-27th. Samsung launched the much anticipated successor to the Galaxy S3 at a launch event in New York City last month . India is a key market for Samsung and would be getting the flagship Android device pretty soon. The S4 features a 5 inch display , quad-core or octa-core processor (depending on the market), Android 4.2.2 , 13 Megapixel camera, 2600 mAh battery and many other interesting features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to come with a new design and a metal body?

Samsung Galaxy Note 3, successor of the company’s Android phablet, the Galaxy Note 2 might come with a completely new design and a metal body, according to a report from Sammobile. The report also says that this move is due to the success of the HTC One, which has a unibody metal frame. The Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is popular for using premium material on their phones. Groupon India has launched the Groupon app for iPhone in India. Crazeal.com’s Indian arm was rebranded as Groupon India last year. The latest update for the Groupon for iPhone brings the option to buy Groupons in India. The Groupon app offers several deals around you, and is already available in 48 countries. It lets you buy, redeem and organize your purchases effectively. It automatically shows the best deals in your city based on your GPS location, and also has option to view deals in other cities. Alcatel One Touch Idol and One Touch Idol Ultra Android smartphones launched in India for Rs. 15800 and Rs. 21000

Alcatel One Touch has launched the One Touch Idol and One Touch Idol Ultra, new Android smartphones in India. Both these smartphones were announced earlier this year. The One Touch Idol has a 4.5-inch (540 x 960 Pixels) qHD IPS display  and the One Touch Idol Ultra comes with a 4.7-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD AMOLED display with Corning gorilla glass protection. These phones run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording. The  One Touch Idol Ultra would be featured in the Iron Man 3 movie that is releasing later this month. The Windows 8 and Android running tablets have been built according to the MIL-STD-810G specification. Gionee P1 with 3.5-inch display, 1 GHz processor launched for Rs. 4999

Gionee launched the Dream D1, the company’s flagship smartphone in India last month, which we reviewed recently. Now the company has launched Gionee P1, an entry-level Android smartphone in India. It has a  3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6515M processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera (but on the press render above it’s mentioned as 1.3MP) and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Looks like Micromax is on a roll. The Micromax Funbook Talk P360 and the Micromax Funbook Talk P362 tablets went on sale online last week, now a new 7-inch Funbook tablet, the Funbook 3G P560 is on sale from online retailer Saholic.  Most of the features are similar to the Micromax Funbook 3G P600 that went on sale back in February. It has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but this one is powered by a 1 GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor, instead of 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8225A processor in the P600. It’s been less than a month since the Micromax A51 Blot was spotted on the official Micromax website. It is finally on sale from online retailers Saholic and Snapdeal. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display,  powered by a 832 MHz Broadcom processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It packs a 2 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera similar to the A35. Micromax launched the A35 Bolt, the company’s first Android smartphone in the Bolt series back in February. Nokia Lumia 720 up for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs. 18999

Nokia launched the Lumia 720 in India last month along with the Lumia 520. The Lumia 520 went on sale earlier this month. Online retailer Flipkart has put up the Lumia 720 for pre-order at a price tag of Rs. 18,999.  It was listed on Flipkart for Rs. 18,499 on Friday, but Flipkart changed the price of the device to Rs. 18,999 yesterday.  The Lumia 720 was unveiled at the MWC 2013 back in February along with the Lumia 520.
